My mom lives 3000miles away. Sent her flowers, set up a massage for her and paid a service to clean her house. For my wife...made her breakfast in bed, my son and I bought her a new mountain bike (new trek bike!) and then scheduled a time for a massage for her that morning. When she was gone I cleaned the entire house, from top to bottom. Then she went out with her mom for a bit and I stayed home and cooked her dinner. Later that night, surprised her with a nice new sex toy and we ended the day with a BANG!

No one else at that place did this before so it paved the way for other families to bbq there with their parents.

Cherish it boys. This mother's day absolutely sucked for me. My mom passed away earlier this year at a young age extremely unexpectedly. My son is almost 2 and they were like best friends. My mom quit her job when he was born so she could spend every second possible with him and she came over every day to watch him for us. Mother's day did nothing but remind me how my son will not have any memories of his grandmother when he gets older and that's something that can bring you to your knees. You never know how long you have with the loved ones in your life so make it count.

We're loading up the boat and headed to the lake all weekend starting tomorrow for my wife's mothers day present. Should be a nice relaxing weekend getting some sun, doing a little fishing, and eating like a crazy man.

SloppyJ, I am very sorry to hear of your Mom passing at a young age. My sincerest condolences to you and your Family. I definitely will take a moment of silence and say a short prayer for you today as I am a man of the Christian Faith.

Man, my own Mom is getting old and I am gonna lose her some day. I love her more than life itself. When she passes some day, whenever I think of her, I know I am going to have some regrets of things I should have done, words I should have uttered. I try to be the best Son I can be....but sometimes it feels like it's not enough. I should be a better Son.

So this was the first Mother's Day for you without her? Hmmmm, that is really tough. I am very very sorry. Close your eyes, and think abut all the happy, wonderful times you had with her. That will make you smile Man!! It always makes me smile when I close my eyes and I think about all the happy, wonderful times I have with my Mom. I am going to miss her so much when she is gone.

Thank you for the kind words. I grew up in a religious household but I don't go to church anymore and while I believe there is a higher power of some sort, I'm still very uncertain as to what it is. The night before she passed I was at my parents house getting some clothes and supplies for my dad since he was living at the hospital and I looked up in the sky to see the most beautiful rainbow halo around the moon. I've never seen anything like it before in my life. It took my breath away and I stood there for at least 5 minutes in awe. I knew exactly what it was.

Fast forward to today and every time my son sees the moon he points up at it and says "see". He has done that for months and he really doesn't say any other audible words. Honestly, it's the most spiritual thing that's ever happened in my life. I know she's up there watching down on us. It's just the hardest thing to think that my son won't get to experience the overwhelming amount of love that my mother had for him and that's what hurts me the most. Anyway, I'll continue to try and remember all of the happy and funny memories of her that I have and that's really all i can do now.

Again everyone, love your family while you can! Thanks for the support dumbbell.

Just adding to my post, funny story...
I ordered my wife’s dildo from an online company. 2 heads, one for the pussy and another for the clit or ass. Got shipping and it said delivered next day. Went outside and it wasn’t there. Called the company and they said according to usps it was delivered to our address. So they did a reship. 2 says later another one came. That night we are sitting and watching TV, neighbor lady knocks on door, I answer, she’s standing there with the 1st shipment in her hand...”I think this is yours, have an incredible night.” LOL.

Had a similar experience with my grandmother passing. She basically raised me and was the reason I was not put up for adoption at birth. We had a real connection. You see things or hear things and just know that is a sign. Like they are communicating threw death how much they still love you. Just know the things your mother taught you in life, you will pass that onto your son. So they in a way live on thru us. He will pass it down and so on and so forth. Love is eternal.
