      Hematocrit and why it's improtant

      What is it?
Hematocrit is the percentage by volume of packed red blood cells in a given sample of blood after centrifugation.

      Why is it important?
The higher your hematocrit percentage the thicker your blood becomes. This can lead to a host of problems includeing stroke, low O2 levels, cardiomyopathy (thickening of the heart) etc. These issues can lead to death.

      Normal range for a male is 40.7 - 50.3 %
      Normal for female is
      36.1 - 44.3 %

How do we correct high levels?
This is simple, you give blood. Now keep in mind that if you are too elevated the blood bank may not accept your donation. If you are on trt the simple way around this is to get a Dr order to donate, basically a prescription. If you are not on trt you may have to discontinue aas usage until you get back in range. This is why it is important to keep up with your blood work.

So many times AAS is referred to as a game. Just keep in mind that if you do not stay on top of things it can lead to serious irreversible health conditions

when on cycle donating is the best route, if you are on TRT and have High levels i recommend splitting your dose into two shots, there is evidence that injections above 150mg cause bone marrow to produce red blood cells, lowing the dose and increasing the frequency stops this

i give blood as often as the Red Cross allows which is about two months, perhaps a bit less. i wonder what kind of decrease one could expect with a given donation? Anyone have an idea?

It depends on the person, gear, O2 saturation, hydration, etc. I was scripted to give and i dropped from 56 to a 46 after 3 donations in 9 weeks time.

Hmmmm, if my math is right you had about a 23% decrease. Or about 7.6% decrease per donation, I'm just trying to see what kind of a reduction is possible as Im sure there are many variables. I need to get some blood work to say the least.
