Standards for reviews.

First, I'd like to thank everyone who has taken their time to post a review of a product and pictures of gear. Please believe me that you do this board an enormous service, and it is greatly appreciated. With that said, I'd like to see some sort of standard for reviews. For instance:

- Don't review a product you havent used. I'm glad that the shipping was fast and packaging nice, but that doesnt tell me anything about the product. And
your satisfaction with those things that matter the least, eg. shipping, will influence people.

- Give the product several weeks before you post results (unless people are dying to know about PIP, ala the "sus450" post).

- Don't post your personal results if you are a sponsor or a rep. Seriously, your selling the stuff, and we're not stupid.

I don't really know what else. I'll defer the my brothers here to help me out (or tell me this is a bad idea). In any event. Lemme know what you guys think. Perhaps we can implement something.

I agree! The 2 reviews i have done with sponsors i shared on my experience and not going to sugar coat shit nor do i want my brothers. I will say the 2 sponsors i use now i plan on using as long as the product is top notch and priced right

I agree, a review should be unbiased and atleast half-way into the cycle as far as quality goes.

A proper review should start with shipping an delivery first inject and pip and continuously be updated until quality is proven ...however on items like tne or suspensions prop or even some orals it is not necessary to be halfway into a cycle ...imho ..

The only way to maintain those standards are monitoring and a separate section for reviews. Even then, you will always need to sift through nothingness to get to the meat and bones because we are pretty much an open forum. I like where the reviews, (let's call it 'input'), are for now and that is in the sponsor section.

i agree. but ya gotta look at it like this sometimes. sponsors give reps and vets gear to promote products. it's advertising. sometimes, some items sold to the "general public" aren't worth a fuck. mixed reviews because THERE ARE ALWAYS mixed results.

I agree with the second part but I totally disagree with the shipping part! I dont want any poorly packaged or sketchy ass products coming to my house. I have gotten a few shady looking packs and I DO NOT like that. A sloppy pack is the first indicator to me that the lab or kitchen or basement is sloppy!
