Cut or Bulk?
Hey guys.
I'm about 8 weeks into a 16 week cycle of Sustanon and NPP, and I've put on about 13 lbs so far. Feeling great. Starting to plateau a little bit, so I was planning on increasing some calories to see if I can get the scale moving up again. I'm still a couple of cycles away from my longterm goal of 200 lbs at 10% bf. (Right now I'm 183 at about 13.5%)
So here's my question...
I had originally planned to drop calories back for the last 4-6 weeks of this cycle and add in anavar to try and tighten up. But now I'm thinking maybe I want to keep trying to bulk. If I decide to keep bulking and keep my calories in a surplus, should I save the Var for another cycle down the road? Add in something else instead?
Or would I be better off, from a longterm perspective, going ahead by finishing this cycle off with the Var and a calorie deficit to tighten up, then start another bulking round in a few months?
Since my goal is both size and leanness, I never know when to go for which one!!
Thanks brothers (and sisters).

If it were me I would tighten up on cycle so you can keep the calories up during recovery to preserve your gains

So the idea would be tighten up on cycle, so I'm in a better position off cycle when some fat gain is bound to come?
That's an easier prospect than trying to gain more as a "cushion" while on cycle, assuming I'll lose some size off cycle?
Is that your thinking?
Thanks buddy

What you lose off cycle will have more to do with your rest and training. As long as you run a good pct.

keep bulking. losing fat is easy, gaining size takes effort

I wish it was easy for me to lose fat. Also...while trying to lose fat I've almost always lost size.
That's just me though and I'm sure there a lot other smarter guys out there that know their body to tweak everything just right.

I gained about 18 lbs on my first cycle, then lost about half of that when I came off. Then while I was off cycle I decided I wanted to lean out before staring cycle #2. So I ended up back at the same weight I had started at, but a few percentage points lower. I think it was a mistake to try to lean out without being on a cycle...lost too much.
Original plan was to bulk as much as I can, then lean out at the tail end of the cycle....maybe I should just stick with that. And then just try to maintain during the off-cycle time until the next one starts up....

It's much easier to stay lean while putting on some quality mass on cycle. Again off cycle is the time to consume more calories and continue to gain depending on your goals. On cycle calorie deficit will be much more muscle sparing

A "bulk" cycle is just an excuse to get fat! What you want is a lean bulk!!. I'd save the anavar and concentrate on dialing in your calories to accomplish your goals. IMHO, for me at least, the only two compounds I ever need are test and NPP.
