      NAC and slight headache

      Hey guys,

Hopefully this is ok to post in here. I tried searching for anything related to NAC but couldn't find my answer so here goes my question.

NAC is supposed to be a really good antioxidant for protecting the liver and I believe the kidneys as well so I decided to start taking it at 600mg per day starting last night. I picked it up at a local nutrition store and am using it in conjunction to Liv52 that I have been using for about 4 months now. My question is this....Has anyone gotten a slight headache after taking NAC? I never get headaches normally unless I'm out in the heat and ended up waking this morning to a slight headache that just lingers and is annoying. Can anyone help out here if they have experienced this? I'm assuming it's from the NAC since it's the only thing I've changed recently.

      Thanks

NAC is my go to when it comes to liver support and antioxidants and never have gotten a headache from it.

Although not as common one side effect from NAC are headaches, but the Liv-52 may have something in it that is making it happen.

Have you ever tried running it alone to see if this still happens? How long have you been on it?

It may go away in about a week once the NAC builds in your system.

      Thanks for the reply Pain.

Well, I just started the NAC last night and took another this morning and have been on Liv52 for about 4 months with no adverse sides until I started the NAC. Maybe I'll give it a week like you said and see how it goes. I took an Advil and it has subsided for now. It was just a slight headache but annoying to say the least and actually woke me up while sleeping once last night.

A sudden change in hormone levels can give you headaches.

I am in the same situation as you spoolin. I have been on liv52 for a long time and recently started taking nac as well. I noticed slight headaches for the first few days but I also started taking anadrol at 75mg per day at the same time so I can't really say what it is at this point. I have gotten headaches and felt slightly groggy in the first week of anadrol before. I'm a virgin to nac though. Hope it gets better brother. Years ago I had a headache once a day that would bring me to my knees, they are my kryptonite. Glad I got that under control.

Thanks guys. My BP is usually around 122/62. It gets slightly elevated to around 130/80 when I run tren and higher doses of test but nothing alarming. The slight headache was only that one day and hasn't returned, so it may have just been from the increase in test and starting back on tren like mentioned above by mizzou12 about hormone changes or possibly the NAC but all is good now.
