Thread: pin draw back question

Hey Guy's,
Caught up with a mate today and he was telling me the last quad injection he did yellow mucus stuff came back and not air.

Has anyone heard of this as my first thought is infection.

When I said infection he said he didnt feel sick and no pain in the leg.

Any help for him will be much appreciated.

Could possibly be an abscess. Worth getting checked out before it gets worse.
Would also recommend changing injection sites to mitigate the area.

Question is, did he utilize that site/spot prior, recently or even in the past? is it a virgin spot?

He should have it looks at ASAP and get on some bactrim, before it because compartment cellulitis!

Sterile abscess for sure

Would be surprised if he injected straight through a sterile abscess, but would want to know if there was already pain and swelling there before doing the quad shot. I also wonder if no pain, was he in the muscle? Not enough info, but strange to aspirate yellow fluid.

Had a chat to him today.

He said he has been doing 3-4 injection per week swapping left to right quad.

He said there is no pain, redness or swelling.

I told him to see a doctor to be safe but pretty sure he is just going to inject in the glutes.

Oh well i gave it my best.

Ill keep you updated if he has any problems.

Fingers crossed its nothing and he will be fine.
