Going ventro
Never pinned in my gluteus medius before. So I'm a tad bit apprehensive just given I've never went there before. I've researched a lot on it and it just seems like a better overall place to pin. I have heard, however, if you do miss here, it's a mofo to deal with. I'm sure I'll be fine. I'm 90% sure I found the right spot. Speaking in general terms- the round part of the top of hip bone, it's the meaty area a few inches below and just a tad bit backwards right? I can feel the muscle contract if I lift my leg out to the side right? Right? RIGHT??? lol. Give me some reassurances please

You'll know if it's not the right spot. Just go in nice, slow, and steady. Make sure you are using at least a 1 inch needle - 25 gauge (if you have a higher BF% I'd go 1.5 inches). If you have someone else who can pin it for you, it may be easier for this area.
Make sure you aspirate.
What made you decide to try the glutes anyhow??

I have my wife hit my glutes but I can't really do it myself. It's too far a stretch for me and I end of moving to much and giving myself a more painful shot than needed. I need to be able to do it myself sometimes. And yes 25g 1" is what I got. I've heard more than a few say the needle will fall in like butter if u get the right spot. I hit delts too but it always makes me sore.
I read some different health literature about there being a higher percentage success rate of proper absorption using ventro over regular butt shot. Like 50ish % to almost 80% . Also read that since you rarely use this muscle , if you do get pip or just pain, it won't bother you walking or lifting given what it does .

I've shot glutes many times before. Sometimes it will leave your sore for about 3-4 days and you will feel it in your stride when walking and you will feel it when sitting down/getting up. I've also had some glute shots with no pain at all.
Personally, I like pinning quads and delts.

I'm terrified of quad shots. Just seems like anytime I hear of an abscess or infection it's always quads . Id probably go tricep before quad personally

Lol you can get an abscess anywhere...if your body doesn't agree with what you put into it and sees it as foreign. Or...even worse if you use unsanitary injection techniques...you'll get a nasty infected one.
I've been shooting quads for a few years. Never had any issues except every now and then I hit a nerve.

I've pinned calves a few times and was good to go. It was with the radjay test cyp and eq I think. I've got other gear there's no way I'd pin anywhere but glutes.

It's pretty hard to miss the Ventrogluteal. Look in the mirror and raise your leg straight up bending at the knee and you should see the muscle flex if you're looking at your hip. You want to try to hit about 2 inches below the illiac crest. If you're not sure where to go then raise your leg up again and look for the line that your hip makes right the bottom of your stomach and crosses over towards your hip and that's the area. Hope that makes sense!!!
This game isn't for everyone, being big and bloated doesn't make you the man, nor does being 110lbs ripped. If you are not competing, find a happy medium. I was thin once, learned all there was to learn about steroids and got pretty big. Then learned how to eat and I got really huge.

Well as to my original question. Does it sound like I've got the right spot for my ventro?
