How to deal with "Do you use steroids?" as a working professional

Up until this point I have never used any gear and a substantial amount of muscle during my 8 years of training. Recently due to the stresses of the doctoral program I'm enrolled in, I was given the diagnosis of hypogonadism and put on TRT. I discussed this with one of my professors during and academic meeting and he immediately jumped at the thought of whether this was due to anabolic steroids abuse. Anyways I plan on doing my first cycle soon, and judging by my ability to look the way i do with low T with AAS i might gain quite a bit of muscle mass. How do you guys deal with holding a large ammount of muscle and keeping your cool when people ask questions?

Be who you are and be pround of it. Sounds to me that you think to much. This have never been a problem for me or anyone i know. I am a Constructian worker and everyone around me know i use gear. If you gain to much weight just say your doc put you on trt and your good to go ,)

To the uneducated person I just say I work out, eat correctly, and rest. They usually don't lift at all so they believe that I'm not on gears. Also I lifted for years natty (fat to fit) before I ever started cycling.

Now I saw a friend at a BBQ that used to be a competitive BBer and the first thing out of his mouth was "It looks like you got stung" I think referring to pinning, ect. There was no denying it to him but he completely knew the etiquette about keeping it quiet. We talked about training, nutrition, but not gears. If it were a more private place maybe we could have gotten into it but not at a BBQ.

I figure the less people know about my illegal drug use the better.

I'm with Anabolicnut, the less anyone knows the better. Why risk it? I doubt any trouble would come but it's one less thing to worry about. It's a personal decision though, either way you will be fine I'm sure.

I can relate. I am also in a doctoral program as well as working more than full-time, staying in shape and raising a family. Stress and pressure are always present.

My primary question to you would be why you were mentioning your hypogonadism and TRT with one of your professors during an academic meeting?

I only discuss such topics with a select couple and never with anyone outside a tight inner circle.

The reason for the meeting was because of a sudden decline in academic performance. I needed to explain my condition and how it has led to a decline in performance ( ie. it could take an hour to read a few powerpoint slides) I went from getting A's and being what most would consider a very accomplished student to barely squeezing out B's and missing tons of classes due to fatigue.

Also i guess i am worried about what others think especially now since one of my professors outright asked if i was abusing.
