Question Weird Question....can animals detect or smell high androgen levels?

Weird question but I'm convinced animals (especially dogs) can somehow detect or smell androgens. When I blast and am around dogs they are either terrified of me, or get testy with me. Off cycle...I do not have this issue. This is something I've been paying attention to over the years because I noticed it early on.

Some dogs won't let me get near them....they will flee even if i slowly approach in a friendly calm manner with my hand extended for them to sniff out. Others will growl and stand their ground with me until their owner pulls them away. This happens with EVERY SINGLE dog I come across when I'm blasting.

Anyone else have this issue or have any theories on this?

I'm on my first cycle right now and will be going to my parents house this weekend for memorial day. I wonder if the dogs or cats I grew up with will act any different around me. My test level is around 5000 right now

I knew a guy who had a little dog that went everywhere with him. Found out later that it's because the guy was prone to seizures and the dog would alert him to when he was about to have a seizure. So if he was driving, or walking, or whatever he was doing - the dog would alert him and he could get into a safe position or take medication before the seizure happened. So to answer your question - yes, dogs can absolutely smell the chemicals coming off your skin through your pores.

I've heard of that before. Animals rely heavily on instinct where as we are taught from a young age to ignore fear and to not be angry or upset. Our culture tells us it is rude to turn around in a movie theater and check out our surroundings, even though it may save our lives. I honestly think we are capable of smelling or sensing high testosterone also. When a alpha male comes in the gym you instantly see people shifting around to accommodate them. We are essentially animals ourselves. Dogs or animals in general just seem to act on their intuition more than we do.
