USPS Form 3849
Just got a form 3849 from the local post office saying to go pick up my parcel which was sent Registered mail from Romania. I am waiting for a small delivery from that neck of the woods. The interesting this is that I have received packages 2 times previously from this same sponsor and it was always just dropped off in my mailbox with no incident. No box is checked on the slip stating that there is postage due.
I'm thinking if they wanted to catch me they'd just control drop it at my residence, but it is odd.
Thoughts?

Some times they have you sign and sometimes they don't bro. It's just a pink slip. I used to be a nervous wreck over those but for some reason where I am it's a 50/50 if I have to sign or it just get's dropped off.

yea USPS is getting even weirder. this year had to start signing for packs from the same sponsor and the tracking is not loading until the day it actually arrives. which its always 6-7 days from shipment so i know about what day it will be so i have someone home when they drop it off but its been more of a hassle

oh.......yea dude thats just a slip dont sweat it. ive gotten packages from overseas from the same sponsor and some have required signatures and some havent.

I have had to sign for international packs several times. Just how USPS rolls some times.

Some carriers wont leave any packs. I know a carrier that if you dont answer the door for any package he leaves a slip and makes you come pick it up. People following the mailman and stealing packages out of mailboxes or off porches is a huge thing right now and some carriers are paranoid over it. They think they are looking out for you.
