Time between cycles and possible consequences

Curious to see what others opinions are regarding the necessary amount of time needed between cycles.

My first cycle lasted about 14 weeks and was very mild
      Test E 500mg/wk
      NPP 250mg/wk

4 week PCT and then I started my next cycle for contest prep
This cycle was much more involved and included

      Sustanon 750mg/wk for 6 weeks
Test Prop 500mg/wk for 6 weeks
      Primo 500mg/wk for 12 weeks
      Proviron 50mg/day
Tren Ace 300mg/wk for 6 weeks

I did use 500iu of HCG/wk for the last 6 weeks of the cycle

I'm currently on a 5 week PCT protocol with Nolva, Clomid, and Exemestane, and then will start my next 16 week cycle to prep for a show in November.

I see a lot of people recommending much longer periods of time off of drugs. For example, some suggest taking at least as many weeks off as you were on.

Just how bad is going from one 12-16 wk cycle to the next with only a 4-6 week PCT in between?
I don't plan on continuing like this for much longer. After my show in November I will most likely take a good amount of time off.
But anyone that competes knows, time isn't always available to take extended periods off when you are trying to prepare for a show, especially multiple shows in one year.

I'm relatively young so I would like to avoid being on TRT and any other health related side effects.

I always heard that the rule of thumb was time on (+ PCT) = time off.

I will let the guys here answer all your questions

May be more beneficial for you to blast/cruise till you're ready to come off after the show. You'll save time, keep more of your gains, and put less strain on your endocrine system that way.
If you run a solid pct protocol followed by some decent time off you shouldnt have any issues.
Personally dont see the point in pct if your jumping straight back on.

      ^^^Agreed.

Time on equals time off is broscience. The only way to know if your body is fully recovered and time to go back on is with blood work.

BUT like aRRRtz said you might as well just cruise instead of coming off and then blast if you are jumping right back on.

Probably would have been a good option to consider seeing that it's only 5 weeks until I start prep again. I'm already a week into my PCT and don't have any gear currently so I'm just going to go ahead and finish it out, but in the future for back to back cycles I will just blast and cruise. Any chance putting your body through a PCT before cycling again will make it "easier" for your body to recover later on?

My thinking is that if you're shut down for say 40 weeks all at once, getting things going again may be more difficult. However, if you do one or two PCT's in between cycles, then when you finally plan to come off for an extended period of time, things may be a little easier to return to normal. Not sure if it actually works like that, but that was my reasoning behind doing a PCT in between cycles.
