Injection sites and absorption
I was looking at some old posts on another board last night and came across a discussion regarding how certain sites may have better or even faster absorption. Not sure as to the validity of the argument since I didn't see any real data to back up the claims. But the big thing was that glutes and quads were the best place to pin for absorption, and the delts were less than optimal. One member actually said that a delts injection was basically wasting half of the gear injected. Anyone have any sort if data to confirm or counter these claims? For me it doesn't seem logical. I can see how maybe absorption speed could be influenced by injection location, but to say that if I injected 1cc in my delts I'm only going to absorb about half of that just doesn't make sense. I mean where did the other half go?

I've read a similar thread somewhere. Stating that glutes are the best location for oil base compounds. Again, no actual data to back it up. Bro science I suspect. I'm interested to see what responses you get

In my opinion, as long as u get deep enough into muscle tissue and avoid nerves, veins ect ect, i dont see how your body CANT absorb the compound, also be interested in hearing anectodal reviews about this.

I'm hoping that someone had some feedback. Definitely feel that it shouldn't really matter which muscle. As long as it's a proper injection I would think it wouldn't matter.

I have done subq with Test P and absorbed fine according to my bloodwork.

I read the article that they are talking about and the absorption speed and blood levels were highest from glut shots then quad and delts were the worst. They used nandrolone pp and deconate and measured several times over some amount of time. It was a small study and just one. Also untrained subjects I believe. My guess is most of us have more muscle on our delts than these guys and better blood flow so probably better absorption. Just a guess though.

I would agree with criticalben that 1. The test subjects in this SINGLE study would not be a good indicator as to how bodybuilders/powerlifters would respond to this study if replicated
2. A single study does not really prove anything... you would need several studies on varying age groups with varying size and degrees of athleticism to truly hold any proof
3. Id like to know where this "unabsorbed" oil is speculated to go. Does it just float around? Excreted? How wouod it not eventually be absorbed?? Id also like to know the volume of oil that they are injecting per site?

This is the study I was thinking of also. I saw it on one of the boards quite a while ago and they had a graph with it. Tried doing a Google search and can't find it again.

"One member actually said that a delts injection was basically wasting half of the gear injected".
This is dumb and I don't know where it comes from. Delts are used primarily (medically) for vaccine injections, so it's not like anyone would expect half of it to disappear or just sit there. IM injections sites are chosen mostly because of the volume injected and the ability to self-inject.
