Cardio build up
Just writing in cuz in short my cardio sux! So the last 5 years I've basically concentrated on gaining mass. I hated always being the skinny guy. I was 155 lbs soaking wet. Now I'm 205 lbs. Probably 18% bf. Anyway......Ive done cycles of Test, Tren and Nand Deca. Some just Tren and Test. Etc. But now I'm back to riding motocross. Question is..........what is best gear, in BOP members opinion, for leaning out and working on cardio. Should I just do Test only? Test and Nand? Honestly I have none. I've gained the weight and just didn't care about cardio. Now I'm 205 and I go ride my bike and can't do half a lap. Anyway. Opinions please. Thanks in advance.

My cardio is always great on test/eq. No drugs will really help you lean out at 18%, no anabolics anyway. It's really just cardio and diet along with whatever weight training you're doing. I hate cardio man, I just hit the heavy bag and jump rope, that's the extent of my cardio but it works for me.

Cardio sucks balls. I have been doing alot of walking on steep incline lately..sucks. Elliptical...sucks. I do however enjoy the peloton bike. I loose alot when I start doing high rep sets say 20-25 and do supersets with no rest. I got a good bit to loose still too. Im guessing I am still 18+...

For sure guys. I guess I feel like Test and maybe Nand could help in recovery. But good suggestions. Maybe I'll start hitting the bag. That sounds fun. I hate cardio too. It has to be fun. Otherwise I simply don't commit. That's why I ride mx. But riding yourself into shape only works if you can ride 2 to 3 times a week. I can only get out there every other weekend.

EQ Brother. I used to hate cardio, then I bought a stationary recumbent bike. Problem solved. You want low to moderate intensity to burn fat efficiently anyways, so I'm able to easily do that with the bike. You can make it as difficult as you want with resistance or you can do HIIT by going hard for 30 to 60 seconds and going easy for a minute or 2 to catch your breath. All while sitting in front of a TV or with tunes. Very minimal impact on the joints too. Got mine on sale for about 5 bills @ Dick's. Programmable, built in fan and speakers. Digital readout for mph, distance, heart rate and cals burned. Worth looking into.

You want to improve your cardio...you need to do more cardio. Gear is not the answer to everything.

Clearly gear is not the answer. But it's also obvious that gear gives you an advantage. Recovery time is shortened. This is why I pose the question as to what guys have used to work on their cardio. If gear had no bearing athletes wouldn't use it. It was meant to be a somewhat anecdotal conversation. I'm aware that not only is the gear not the end all. But also that everyone's reaction to gear is different. What works for one may not work for another. But I like having these kind of conversations in order to get ideas, perspective and knowledge. Someone may have thought of something I didn't. It's what we're all here for.

Hey brother, just my opinion, but if you run a low dosed test only cycle, diet hard, and do cardio at different intensities and duration; you will be a new beast. It's very difficult to do because you have to get over the period of "feeling smaller", but when you get to that <15% range (even lower if you can keep up with it) I guarantee you will be satisfied if you have a look-related goal in mind. You might lose some strength and more than likely will have to cut back on the volume with your weight training. With summer around the corner, this is the perfect time to make a commitment man. You paid your dues to gain that muscle; now let it show! At 18% it ain't showing like it does at sub 12%; trust me!! I have witnessed many transformations and its amazing how the body works as sort of an "optical illusion". An example; I trained with a guy that cut from well over 15% to single digits to prepare for a comp. Initially, he looked like he was getting smaller, then he started getting that hard, defined look that a lot of bodybuilders struggle to reach, but never quite get there. After his cut, he actually lost an inch on his arms, but comparing his before/ after pics looked as if he made huge gains on his arms. Its just usually that first stage thats the worst because like I said you initially look smaller, but once the fat burns off; you start to see a defined muscle that will actually appear bigger. My point being, cut down if you are serious about it, run minimum amounts of compounds only to preserve lbm, and don't look back once you start cutting. Don't worry about the feeling small stage and hop right back to bulking. Keep leaning out and get to your goal. It's crazy to see how you start to look bigger again as you get leaner. Hope this helps man!
