I heard a couple 18ga stories haha. Anyways, today we have knowledge and access to everything so no need for that. The bottom line is larger gauge needles are going to cause more scar tissue which if you are committed to this game is a big deal in the long run. The enhanced athlete guy even uses insulin needles:

I personally just do 21g for drawing and 25-27g for injections, but to each their own

Scar tissue does become a huge problem I cycle through delts, chest, glutes, v glutes, and lats for that reason. Lats are by far my favorite though.

Well how about that, I wasn't the only one after all. I'm using a 3cc syringe, drawing with the 22s and pinning with the 27s quite smoothly. Perhaps a 1cc would work better, I'll have to give it a go. I will admit, it is a slower press, but that's probably a good thing too though.

Anyone else just use 25gs to draw and pin? I find it perfectly fine. Although now I'm intrigued to try a 27 and see if theres any noticable difference.

Same here, still haven't looked to see who carrys them. But I'll draw and pin with same gauge. Of it'll go thru, then it'll go in LoL.

I do the same. I switch out the needles and pin with a fresh one.

I use 27 to draw and pin 1 ml of primo EOD. MedLab supply has what you need.

I run my test under hot water for a minute to warm it up. Helps it draw out and pin in smooth. I don't think it damages the test with such low heat.

I was always switching to a fresh sharp needle to pin, and since I was doing that anyway, switching to a higher gauge when swapping just makes sense once you have them.

While this is true, you can make far more pushing force than you can vacuum force with the syringe. It draws up a whole bunch faster with a lower gauge, while you can push pretty reasonably with a higher gauge.

I've never tried that. It makes sense though, doubt there's any harm in it.
