Exercise means heart is under a load and there is a physical adaption...a bigger chamber ...hypertrophy. The heart - a muscle - is trained and begins to operate more efficiently.
Chemicals do not cause this kind of hypertrophy. What you may get is a thicker heart...that's bad. In fact AAS and other chemicals can increase this thickness.
This is a detail overlooked alot by athletes who use AAS.
The Dr. Says hey your left ventricle is slightly thicker or enlarged. The athlete does some reading and sees that many athletes cab have an enlarged heart...it's actually typical. So the enhanced athlete thinks oh hey this is normal I'm ok.
But the details are the difference between an enlarged chamber vs a thicker heart.
