Here's my situation: 39 y/o 239 lbs 24% bodyfat.
Currently running 300mg/wk Test-C, 10mg/day LGD (had it on hand), 20mg/day GW-50516, 12.5mg/day MK-677
I'm pretty much a novice with AAS. I decided to dip my foot in the pool a few months ago when I decided to roll w/ a 300mg/wk Test-C "cruise" dose. Been trying to maintain a calorie deficit and get leaner, and decided the Test would definitely help hold on to and possibly gain some muscle in the process. My levels were in the low 1/3 of the scale when I had them pulled a while back. I decided to run the lower dose to minimize sides and w/ the thought that anything higher is really wasted while maintaining an extended calorie deficit.
Would there be any appreciable benefit to Anavar while I'm in this everlasting cut? I know this process to get to ~10% BF is going to take a while, and everyone says that Var does its best work when BF is lower, but I've also seen research that shows that it actually helps you get leaner faster. Would there be any benefit to tossing in a couple 6-8 week cycles of Var on top of my Test base? Say a 6 week run, 6-8 weeks off w/ NO orals, then run another 6 weeks? I'm just thinking out loud, here. I thought I'd just ask.
Couldn't hurt as long as you don't have any preexisting medical conditions. Its pretty mild. Though most people would probably tell you to just stick with low dose test and work on your diet and training until you get to a lower bodyfat.
I say just keep an eye out on your blood pressure. You might also look into clen and t3.
I've just finished a trial of Var @ 50mg ED for a about 6 weeks, adding it my my TRT (125mg/ml per week) in combination with a very cal deficit diet. Absolutely loved it!!! My goal wasn't to loose too much weight but to try and cut up so my abs come through - this has always difficult for me. I hardened up alot, got spider veins all over my chest, arms, quads and calves. Stronger on every exercise, every workout which given the cals I was taking in says something. I only train 3 days per week on a HIT Yates/Mentzer style routine and my record keeping is solid so they are legit strength gains and not just making assumptions that my strength was increasing.
Downside was my blood test result's which showed my HDL and LDL and Total Cholestoerol took a hit, as did my AST and ALT levels.
Ultimately your diet will dictate your results more than anything, personally i feel running anything other than the low test dose may be a waste, id maybe consider something like clen to help. And ensure youre doing your cardio and the results will come..adding other compounds i feel will be a waste at this stage.
If you have a lot of veins showing you are probably lower than 24% body fat. What method did you use to measure?
Define "a lot of veins". I used the US Military calculator (measure neck & abdomen then plug in a calculator). The Calc on 1percentedge asks for a waist measurement & spits out an estimate. Did one of those impedence things at the gym. They all came out pretty close to 24%.
Forearm veins pop once I get warmed up in training. Shit...ANY veins are "a lot" to me. I started out @ 305 lbs and FAT AS FUCK!
I've got no misconceptions that it would work miracles. Just thought it might give me a bit of a push in the right direction.
If I WERE to do a 6-8 week run of Var NOW and plan on doing another at the end, how long of a break in the middle would be good? Would any other AAS compound be something that would be beneficial at this juncture? How is TBol in a deficit?
Just bump up the test to 500mg/week and make sure you're keeping your E2 under control. 1st. 300mg of test /week is NOT a cruise 2nd. in order to keep from loosing muscle while on a caloric deficit you need to keep your body in an anabolic state. 300mg of test isn't enough. 3rd. your diet will accomplish your goals better than Anavar. 4th. if your test numbers are in the lower 1/3 then be prepared to be on TRT sooner than later - maybe after this cycle. Keep an eye on your bloodwork!
This game isn't for everyone, being big and bloated doesn't make you the man, nor does being 110lbs ripped. If you are not competing, find a happy medium. I was thin once, learned all there was to learn about steroids and got pretty big. Then learned how to eat and I got really huge.
Good job loosing the weight, your diet must be petty good. Whats your blood pressure and lipid profile?
Tbol is not good for loosing weight, in fact you will gain a bunch of water weight.
You should just stick to the test, var and maybe clen with t3. You should not stack too many compounds until you get a better feel to how your body reacts to these light compounds first. Dont forget ai like adex.
