You need to get your doc to tell you what it is they are looking at that is wanting them to run more tests. That is the Bullshit mentality of the medical community. They won't just give you a reason for the tests until the results are completed, unless you demand them. She doesn't like what she saw and wants more tests??!! That's BS, ask her what she is seeing and justify her decisions. She works for you, they always seem to have forgotten that part. They are there to help, but when they do that nonsense it causes more stress then it aleviates. Take control of your appointments!

I believe she wants more test becuse his EKG came back abnormal, which pretty standard protocol. There are many reasons an EKG can come back abnormal, it's not always so cut and dry. Expect an eccocardiogram and stress test to start

750mg of test a week, yeah of course you're going to have side effects bro! You've got ten times the normal amount of testosterone in your blood.

I agree 100%. The issue is, what is abnormal to them and what are they looking for or ruling out. To just leave the patient to wonder and to google os poor practice, and that is why everyone runs to google for info. Just say hey this could be X or could be nothing and running these tests will clear that up. A lot of tests are run to eliminate liability and not treat/ diagnose the problem.
      IMO

An ekg cannot always diagnose a problem it is more of a screening tool

And yes while I do agree it is unfair to leave a patient like this , it's the way it has to be sometimes

Don't take this as being combative. I realize that the EKG may not diagnose he actual problem but why isn't the doc just saying here is why we are doing the next test. Instead of leaving him to wonder and to find answers elsewhere. I've just seen too many times where they just won't commit to what they are trying to find. The best practicionera will say here is what we know and here is the reasons for the next steps. Just feel for him that he doesn't have reasons for the tests.

I'm Definitely not taking this as combative, I like this exchange and it's how we learn and grow as a community.

I agree with this post I think we are just adding onto each other's thoughts lol so yes a good practitioner should go over the possible reasons for the abnormality in his ekg.

We kind of got off topic but to the OP if you're blood pressure is that elevated you should be on a prescription rx, htn can take a toll on so many differnt body systems and is easily controlled

Hey guys, thanks for all the input and opinions! So i went back to the clinic and saw a different doctor today. Straight away he looked at my arms and said il need the bigger fitting for the test and changed over the standard armband for a larger one he had in his drawer. My results came back at 143/66 with a resting heart rate of 55. He said a normal sized armband on my arms will always give me a false high reading. So my last few doctors and chemists I've been to to get my BP checked have been oblivious to this fact and given me wrong information. I cant believe these fuckwits were considering putting me on BP meds without even thinking to use a different size arm fitting. Anyway, lesson learnt, and I got a new lease on life time to blast hard again haha
