It's very individual much like everything else is. I can tell you I happen to very sensitive certain carrier oils or BA/BA concentrations , where theyll irritate and won't bother another. Every little bit makes the difference

Use a larger gauge to draw from the vial- I use a 22g to draw. Fill to desired amouunt.
Take slin pin - pull the plunger out (like remove it)- then inject the oil into the barrel from the back (backload).
You then reinsert the plunger into the slin pin and inject.
I suggest watching this --

I'm on trt , pharm test is thick. I use a 22g and it still pushes hard. It would take 20mins to push it with a slin pin, screw that I'll take the scar tissue

I'll probably go with that technic I'm using 21's to draw and 23's to pin at the moment. I was drawing and pinning with 21's pinning should be painless from start to finish.

21s are big brother, I always drew w an 18g and pinned w a 23 1 1/2. Now I get 22s prescribed so I use them, 22s are painless as I'm sure 21s are, 18s look like a drinking straw. I like bigger pins because the oil goes right thru them.I tried 25s for awhile , even there tough to push oil thru

I rotate between 25g - 1' and 29g - .5'.
25g and 23g cause scar tissue after a while, so I use 29g too in the rotation. The oil gets in the muscle, it works fine, and will not cause scar tissue to develop. I use that for test cyp and NPP. I don't inject them on the same days. I don't mind pinning on Monday/Tuesday, and Thursday/Friday/Sunday in one week. Esp. with the 29g in there.

And I've always used 1 1/2 in my flutes and quads. I've been pinning forever and I rarely push thru scar tissue, if I do it feels like broken glass, no biggie

Holy shit!!! That would suck bad. I've always wondered but never actually heard of that happening to someone. Makes me iffy on burying the needle anymore. I've stood there with a full barrel and let it dangle at times, won't be doing that ever again lol.
