Quads: "Yes, always" or "No, never", which is it?
After much searching and reading I have found pretty a pretty clear divergence of opinion. I want to try pinning quads. I see some guys who say it is their go to site, painless, hardly ever get pip, etc. Then there are the horror stories: "I couldn't walk for a week", "my knee swelled up", etc. I am back and forth.
I've been pinning my ventroglutes and glutes. Honestly, I have better luck with the ventroglutes as far as minimal pip. Definitely easier to reach and control. One caveat, I had a total hip replacement done on my left hip 3 years ago. The ventroglute site is awfully close to all that hardware and scar tissue. That concerns me a bit.
Currently, I pin the following every 3.5 days: .5ml Deca 300mg/ml and 1.25ml Test C 200mg/ml. So, a 1.75 ml injection. I follow all recommended steps. I warm the oil, use one needle for drawing, a fresh one for injecting (1" 23 gauge) , sterilization and hand washing of course, and injecting slowly.
In summary, 2 questions:
Should I try my quads for this 1.75 ml injection?
Am I okay injecting in the vicinity of a total hip replacement?

whats wrong with delts? Odds are that first shot on the quads is gonna fuggin hurt afterwards regardless.... after awhile of administration it usually eases up and its fine just like any other body part....

I have used my quads exclusively for more than 5 years. I use a 1" 25 ga pin and have never had a problem.

I'm one of the guys that uses quads as my go to sites. I rotate body parts when injecting ED but on your schedule I'd probably alternate quads. Not sure about injecting next to the hip replacement. I'd play it safe and stick with quads. I find a spot that doesn't have veins and score the skin on opposite sides of where I'm injecting with my fingernail. Make sure you're relaxed and hit the outside quad. I extend my leg so it's loose. Don't rush and if your leg twitches from a nerve move the site. I've hit it once and came close a few times. That's why I take my time with it. I also asperate. Have only drawn blood once.

The issues with quads is some guys actually go to deeo and the compound/carrier/solvents sit on or around a nerve causing extreme discomfort..
I use a 5/8th, deepending on your body fat %, most guys can get away with a 5/8ths and no even realize it... keep compound volume size down to 1mL per muscle head in the quad..I can pin 4 x 1mL shots at one time on my quad 1 on top and 3 down the side..
5/8th 25g is completely painless and makes for a wonderful injection session with little to no worries!

I pin my quads with 27 gauge, 5/8 inch pins. I don’t inject more than 1cc of oil at time. I primarily use short esters so I do get mild PIP every once and a while, but I have never had an issue.

Like I said, 5/8th's 1mL is the way to go, and here you see feedback right after mine.. I'm telling ya, its the way! No fuss no muss!

I can go up to 2ml but generally try to keep it at 1ml. 5/8 is plenty, I just happen to have 1" but I don't insert them all the way. 27 ga seems to take too long for me with some gear but I have used them too.

Completely agree with this. I usually go with 27g-29g though to pin depending on Carrier Oil being used. GSO I use 25g makes it smoother to me.
