Question My baseline blood results (before AAS) - thoughts?

Decided to do it right and get a my baseline established before jumping into gear / AAS for the first time - next Mon 04/06.

I did (some of) the conversions online to make it easier, as I’m from Aus.

How are my numbers? Seem g2g besides SHBG.. might get a thyroid function test via GP.

      Nearly 29 btw

      ---
      TOTAL TESTOSTERONE:
      857 ng/dL - (29.7 nmol/L - Aus)
      FREE TESTOSTERONE:
      11 ng/dL / 114 pg/mL - (396 pmol/L) - isn't this low?
      SHBG:
      72 nmol/l - 30% above normal range.. ?
      ESTROGEN (OESTRADIOL):
      31.3 pg/ml - (115 pmol/L) - this mid-range level be an issue w/ estro-sides cycle? Adex dosage, etc.

      LIPIDS:

      Cholesterol -
      158 mg/dL - (4.1 mmol/L) - this borderline? how about orals such as Var..
      H.D.L Cholesterol -
      54 mg/dL - (1.4 mmol/L)
      L.D.L Cholesterol - 89 mg/dL
      - (2.3 mmol/L)
      Non-HDL Cholesterol -
      104 mg/dL - (2.7 mmol/L)
      Triglyceride -
      31 mg/dL - (0.8 mmol/L)
LDL / HDL Ratio (Risk Factor) -
      62 mg/dL - (1.6 mmol/L)
Chol / HDL Ratio (Risk Factor) -
      112 mg/dL -(2.9 mmol/L)

      LIVER FUNCTION:

      Total Protein - 69 g/L
      Albumin - 42 g/L
      Alkaline Phosphatase - 50 U/L
      Total Bilirubin - 15 umol/L
      Gamma GT - 12 U/L
      AST - 34 U/L
      ALT - 19 U/L
      LD - 173 U/L
      Globulin - 27 g/L

      Glucose
      - 4.5 mmol/L (3.0 - 6.9 range)
      Haemoglobin
      - 145 g/L

Red cell, white cell and platelet parameters are well within normal range, etc.. could share more if need.

      ---

I fasted ~ 13hrs (ate ~ 3k cals the day prior until 7:30pm), had a quality 9hr sleep, bloods were collected @ 9:15am within an hour after waking up. Only had a small glass of water before I left - didn't pee yellow that morning either.

Will also do intra-cycle (6-8 wks) and post-PCT (4-6wks after)

      Cheers guys..

Also, would using this calculator be accurate?

      Free & Bioavailable Testosterone calculator

      According to that link..

      BIO-AVAIL TESTOSTERONE: 266 ng/dl - (9.23 nmol/l)
      FREE TESTOSTERONE: 11.6 ng/dl - (0.403 nmol/L)

That would mean I'd be eligible for TRT... Wth? That's pathetically low..

I usually just go by total testosterone and by those numbers you seem to have a great number. To be honest not too sure about the free test. Your lipid profile seems to be great too

    6. Thanks Stoicandy thanked for this post

Cheers mate. Hope those numbers are fine. According to that calculator (post #2) it's 266 ng/dl seems low as..

I also spoke with my GP (family doc) confidentially / off-record this morning while getting further bloods and discussed my private labs - particularly my high SHBG and free/total test results.

He reckons it's a bit elevated, and checking TSH. If results are high, will look into T3 and T4 for potential hyperthyroidism - as I was mildly sub-clinical 5-6 years ago but went down quickly and been fine within healthy range since within subsequent tests.. High SGBH could just be due to my body compensating for the excess hormone, apparently. But something is going on.

      edit:

      ---
      BIO-AVAIL TESTOSTERONE (20-29 years - Male) between 83-257 ng/dL.. I'm 266 ng/dL (?)
      FREE TESTOSTERONE (25-30 years - Male) between 5.05-19.8 ng/dL.. I'm 11.6 ng/dL
      TOTAL TESTOSTERONE (19+ years Male) between 240-950 ng/dL.. I'm 857 ng/dL (?)

Source: TTFB - Clinical: Testosterone, Total, Bioavailable, and Free, Serum
      ---

I'm confusing myself with numbers now.. Any other guys able to chime in? Would appreciate it.
