Kill E2 or keep it
I have read that E2 is what will go up if you dont use an AI such as adex or exemestane eliminate your e2 and leave you very unhappy. I have also read that Nolva will not lower your e2, it just stops the e2 at the receptor, and prevents gyno. But isn't that the point to eliminate estrogen AND prevent Gyno entirely?

It’s important to control your estrogen on cycle because it can elevate significantly to a point where it can cause adverse affects like gyno and decreased sex drive etc.
Your body naturally has a homeostasis of test to estrogen. When you introduce additional test, the body produces additional estrogen to maintain its normal homeostasis levels. To combat this, we use AIs to stop the adverse affects I just mentioned.
On the other end of the spectrum, some estrogen is GOOD. We don’t want no estrogen because that will also cause negative affects (sore joints, sex drive, loss of appetite, etc).
It’s a balancing act.

Enrod hit the nail on the head. Theres a certain amount of estrogen that you want, but everyone is different. Some guys can get away with no ai at all. Estrogen is thought to be anabolic, which is why bulking compounds are “wet” compounds. Nolva will mask high estrogen, but it does not lower your e2 levels. You dont want to ELIMINATE estrogen. You gotta find what works for you. Bloodwork is ideal. I think you are actually thinking of one of my posts

You have to have estrogen in your body or it will hinder gains among other things.
Novaldex and armidex will prevent the estrogen from binding to the receptors but they do not prevent formation of estrogen. Once you stop the drug, the estrogen is still there and that is what rebound comes from. Aromasin prevent the estrogen from being produced, so there is no rebound. It does not eliminate estrogen 100%, I'm guessing only 75 to 80% so you still have enough estrogen in your body to be OK.
