Depending on the manufacturer I reckon...
As long as the compound is different, the batch number being the same still acts as the identifier for an individual compound...
A good way to maybe view it is (if there’s any suspicion that is) is why go through the trouble of pulling something shady, if you’re not even going to cover your tracks on the labeling enough to change the batch numbers...
But I don’t produce it... so maybe I should stfu...
But I’m king paranoid sometimes lol... I’ve learned many times by making myself look stupid from my foot in my mouth overreactions, just to get pointed in the right direction and I end up seeing the errors of my ways lol... so now I try to not react, to ask the questions directly... so i would point you that way... ask the manufacturer straight up why, how, purpose... they should be able to answer such questions without being defensive imo... your gut will be the decision maker in the end.
Varies from lab to lab. Why not ask the lab?
