Question Parents who juice....when and how did you explain your use to your kids?

This topic does not apply to me whatsoever but I think it would be interesting to hear how that conversation goes.

      So I have a few questions for parents with older kids (late teens and older);

      1) Was there ever a time when it became impossible to fully conceal your steroid use? When your child became old enough to notice the obvious signs?

      2) If yes to question above, how old were they when this happened?

      3) If/when they became aware or at least had suspicion, did they approach you about it?

      4) If yes to question above, how did the conversation go? Did you admit to it or deny and play dumb?

      5) If your kid approached you at the age of 25 and wanted to start supplementing with AAS, how would you feel about it? (assuming all pre-requisites have been met; diet, training, solid base, training experience, etc.)

      6) If you were OK with them using AAS...would you help them acquire it or let them figure it out?

***Feel free to be selective with the questions you want to answer. Not all of these apply to everyone but I think this would be an interesting discussion...and may help those who have not experienced this situation yet but may in the near future.

I have 2 boys (17 and 22) who are both outstanding athletes. I've been lifting since before they were born so they don't know me any other way. I've never been that little 175 lb dad. and have always been in the gym and encouraged them to join me.

My 17 year old is a football phenom and he has asked me about using that gnc test booster shit. I explained to him that at his age there is no need to take anything designed to increase test as it would curtail his natural production. He understands and has not brought it up again. I also tell him that he could be drug tested at anytime and that if he tested positive for any PED that he could loose and scholarships. He probably has a suspicion about my use but again he doesn't know me as any different.

I'd think that as grown men if they ever asked me about it that I would educate them on the use and help them the best I could. My 22 year old is a big boy already, 6'1" about 190lbs and really doesn't train too much, he's too busy in law school. They are both naturally muscular so I don't know that they really feel the need to do much more.

My son is three, he only wants to know why I keep picking up heavy things and setting them down over and over. He tells me it doesn't seem like fun at all. I just say you'll change your mind in High School and you're interested in girls.

Yeah. My son is four. He deadlifts the recliner.

When the time comes. His father will give him the talk, if he is interested about steroids. My ex and i have spoke about it. We do not have a problem with him wanting to use gear, as long as he does it right. Reaearches, understands, does it right.

Also, wouldnt mindmy little boy training with me. He already makes sure he gets his protein in lol. So, we are on a good path. And tells me im the strongest. I tell him one day, he will be stronger lol.

Assuming this day does come eventually. Do you help them get it using your trusted sources? Or would you rather not get that involved and let them find it on their own?

Hmmmm...I'd let them get it on their own but check it out behind the scenes.

We would teach him the ropes.

Get him a good source but, hes also needs to figure it out for himself.

Yea i figured that my be a difficult one to answer. I can see both sides. You don't want to straight up supply them for him/her, yet you don't want them getting ripped off or going through a sketchy source and pinning garbage. I'm no parent but I would think that if my kid was old enough and met all the requirements and prerequisites for using AAS, I would probably point him to my source. If they are going to do it regardless, I'd rather them do it right and do it legit. Plus I'd rather supervise the process rather than sending him/her out on the street or to the local gym locker room to buy some gear brewed in a spaghetti pot.

My oldest daughter (19) has know since I started. Wife was cool with it as well. They know the code of Steroid Club. Tell no one, daddy is natty.
      Wasn't a big deal.
I don't recommend letting younger ones know. Such as below 12 years of age or so, depending on maturity level.
They may not be aware of the legality of the situation, especially if you didn't tell them about everything.
Then you will have the classic "show and tell" at school when your child shows up with some syringes, pins, and vials.
