      Metformin

I realize this question might be all over the map, and I don’t expect many answers for this but do many of you have experience with metformin? I actually really benefit physique/sleep/appetite etc wise on mk677. But after about 4-5 months on it my fasting glucose crept above 100 which I wasn’t wild about so I quit. Now I’m thinking of jumping on a short blast intermittently throughout the year. I’m a trt guy for life, look quite good despite only running minimal drugs every other year ish and want to run some mk677 alongside the next go around but don’t want to run into glucose issues. If any of you are still following this, lol let me know if you think metformin is beneficial or a waste. I hear a lot of good things, but don’t know if it’s overkill or not to control blood sugar with another drug. K thanks! Also gh isn’t ruled out at all at this point if I go that route. Just hard to find a reliable, consistent REAL source if you know what I mean.

I do not have an answer yet, but can give some individual experience in about 5 days when my bloods come back. I was running into the same issue with my fasting glucose slowly elevating up on HGH, so decided to stop my hgh this fall, but planned to pick it back up again in the spring after my TRT bloods with my doc. He looks at my A1c, so the elevated glucose up until 6-8 weeks ahead of time would have raised a flag. Anyway, I was in to see him for a diamox Rx for some high altitude adventures and was talking about hunger/cravings I get at times, which could easily be the npp--who knows. Anyway, he was going off about metformin and the anti-aging and longevity benefits it can have. He said some folks have a hard time with stomach upset, but that the time-release version is well tolerated. Said he is even taking it, and since I have a family history of adult onset of diabetes, he'd be happy to see me try it for a spell and see how I responded. Since I knew my blood glucose was higher on hgh, figured I would try it and see.

I've taken it now for about 6-weeks. I am finishing up a run with NPP/DHB this week, so had bloods drawn Friday. I can't compare apples to apples since my last bloods I was still taking HGH, but will be able to compare with previous results. From feeling standpoint, honestly I can't really tell anything at all. I did not get any kind of stomach or digestive issues whatsoever, but haven't noticed anything else either.

Thanks for the response. Most importantly though, how was the npp/dhb combo?

They worked very well for me. I wasn’t originally planning to run together as I had not run either before, but both burning a hole in my stash, so decided to give it a try and figured I would adjust if needed. I didn’t have any serious sides, just some typical acne here and there and my bloods after week six showed slightly elevated prolactin, but never manifested into any problems as I had my E2 in order. Will say was way less energetic this run, down right lethargic feeling st times, but grew well. Put on a visible amount of lean mass and vascularity increased. I’m up 14 lbs since start of week one and waist slightly smaller. I’d estimate 10% bf. I was 12% last bodpod in July and leaner since. I can see where someone would really grow on this combo if they ate more, which in retrospect I could have been better at. Should also note that at the start, I was fairly flat and depleted after a few weeks of high endurance work. I have counter productive habits during the summer—great for cardio health, horrid for maintaining size and strength.

For this run is did test at 500mg, NPP 450mg and DHB at 450mg per week. First 8 weeks I also took 80mg anavar a day. The last few weeks since dropping the anavar I have added some mast as I will say I noticed a decrease in sexual desire. Never had ED or anything close, just less interest—which will say the mast helped with and also seemed to help with the lethargy too.

Im still partial to primo/mast/var combo, just because I feel awesome and see great results, but certainly saw much more rapid changes with the current cycle, which others did too. Couple of the guys and gals at my local gym have commented on my increase in both size and vascularity the last few weeks. Feels great getting the compliments, but they compete at state/local level, so expect they know what’s up I’m sure.

I will absolutely consider running this combo again next fall — just eat more.

I have used MK-677 GHRP's and GH for years and have not had had any issues with Glucose levels. I have tried to not take in huge amounts of carbs at one time, or use carbs with a high GI. I have used products such as Metformin and my non fasted Glucose levels are usually below 80
