Lot's of questions about this so I figured I'd throw this up...

I'm right handed so let's start there. Reach around and place your right hand index finger on your right hip bone.
Now place your thumb 3" back toward your glute and horizontally from you're index finger, now move your thumb 2" down while keeping your index finger in place toward your outer thigh or VG and pin there.
If you were to take a ruler, keeping it parallel to the floor, and measure that distance horizontally that's how you want to do it. First pic illustrates how to measure and 2nd pic illustrates where to pin and X marks the spot...
I move around further down than illustrated but never higher. I also move further forward and back, usually further back, more than illustrated in order to "not" pin the exact same spot.
The last pic is a good illustration of the overall are I pin. Pin anywhere in the triangle and I'm g2g. We all have different bf% and body composition so this will vary from person to person but if yiu stay within the outlined triangle you'll have no issues.
I only had a few minutes to throw this together so hope this helps my brothers and as always I'll answer any of your questions.

This helps alot. Ive been pinning in the wrong spot the whole time. Explains why I sometimes have lower back pain the morning after each pin.

Standing with my left side to the bathroom counter I push my right knee against or toward the counter and that accomplishes relaxing the muscle the same as if you were lying down.

One of the easiest places, if not the easiest to pin if you ask me. Had pip once and that was after the first time injecting in VG.
