Weird question about chicken
Walmart's fresh chicken says 24g protein and either 4 or 5g of fat per 4 oz. Which seems high in fat. This is BONELESS SKINLESS CHICKEN BREAST
I'm at Costco yesterday and there says 1 or 2g of fat and 24g of protein per 4oz, which makes alot more sense.
Could Walmart's say that since they leave extra fat on there's? I trim mine and I waste so much of that and don't leave any fat on it.
I live in a small town and the nearest Kroger, Costco, fresh market etc is at least 35 mins.
I'm sure I'm over thinking this, but I like to know exactly how much fat I'm eating and want some input on this. I'm sure there are some of you OCD about this lol
I go off of Google. I have found 3 sites that says 5 oz COOKED chicken is 5g of fat and 43g of protein.

So does one have more fat than the other? I'm probably over thinking this. Remember, I trim it off. I think chicken would be chicken unless its organic etc

When you buy bonelessl and skinless, sometimes you'll see a small portion of fat along the edge of the breast or near the thickest part. That's probably what they are counting. However, there still is fat in small amounts across the top and probably in the fibers. If you boil the chicken, you will see white fat residue float on the water. That's one way of eliminating it. Why do you really care so much about 4/5% fat? You're body won't even absorb that most likely if it makes it past the cooking process..

Your over thinking it. Trust me it’s not enough fat content to worry about and if you really are then trim it off. If you cook on the bbq like I do you will burn most of it off anyway
