Do you take Blood Pressure meds?

After this Test EQ Anavar cycle my BP has spiked sky high. I even fainted, which was scary. So I monitor my BP 3x daily now. I also donated blood as most of us do with EQ. I'm sitting around the 140s during the day. It will dip just under 140 sometimes before bed/morning, but in the day it's 145+/65+. It has stayed under 150 luckily tho.
I realize that isn't the most alarming numbers, but it's obviously needing to be addressed since I'm only 30. I've cycled for 5 or so years and definitely don't want to stop my recreational bodybuilding, so I was thinking of going to my doctor and trying to talk him into giving my BP meds to help me especially when cycling.

Thoughts on BP meds as an AAS user and anything about what you do for high blood pressure in general?

Doesnt hurt to talk with your Doc.There's a bunch of factors that can lead to HBP. Obviously running gear, being over weight, medical history, alcohol, high sodium, low potassium, low calcium, smoking, caffeine, stress...big one for us all! It's impressive to hear you're being cautious and give AF bro! Most people don't know wtf those numbers mean.

Always a good idea to have a good physician. They are invaluable and needed for our health. Just find a good one and let him/her know your an avid weightlifter.

I talked to my doc about it. Doesn’t like the fact that I’m on gear but ultimately wants me safe. So I’m on lisinopril for BP. I have to avoid certain things and keep an eye on it. But definitely needs to be taken seriously.

Straight up! I think it is paramount. It is also the key to longevity, especially while on TRT. A lot of people don’t realize that their heart only has so many pumps.

I went on bp meds about 2 years ago due to weight, poor diet and gear. I always seemed to be on gear when I needed to go into the mandatory 6 month check up for meds, physical. So, even though I absolutely hated the idea about taking bp meds, I gave them a shot. Lisinipril worked great for 3 months until I developed the dreaded cough and needed to be put on something else and take a pill to stop me from coughing all the time. Put me on several different beta calcium blockers over the next 6 months or so.. that just made me feel super lethargic not wanting to work out , couldn't lose weight due to the pills, and then they switched me to beta blockers. Felt lethargic to a level, no engery, but forced myself to workout. Couldn't get my hear rate over 117, and I said, what's the point if I can't lose weight to lower my bp?? I finally had enough!

Stopped taking the stupid pills. Came off the cycle. Intensified the cardio and reeled in my diet. Yes, I was drinking beer, so that definitely was a factor. Just stopping drinking beer dropped my bp 10 points on both sides. Went from 208 to 186 and my bp was 124/55-65. Normal ranges for me have always been 126/76ish.

I started to take super green mix in the morning with breakfast (total of 6 meals of greens per day), magnesium/calc/zinc supplement everyday in the am along with 500mgs of potassium, 500mgs of vite c, b complex vites as well. Been holding under 140/85 on last cycle and usually normal off cycle.

I think having high bp was a great motivation to clean up my lifestyle. I hope you don't have to go through the nightmare that I had to go through with all of the meds that are out there and the sides. I must have gone through 8-9 of them. It was hell!

I just recently got put on metoprolol 50mg a night at bed n it has saved my blood pressure. For awhile I was getting headaches I’d randomly get light headed, never passed out but it got to the point I said screw it, I’ll just come clean to the dr. n he can keeps me healthier than going in solo. I realize a lot of dr, are dicks so be careful with your wording, they always have the right to refuse to treat you as a patient at anytime

I also worry because this stuff goes on my insurance and I kind of cringe at disclosing gear use to my doc even though he's a lifter too. He got freaked out with my high BP and low eGFR readings and I ended up spending thousands on additional tests because of that.

Think you can get that stuff online easily. I may get some to be prepared for my next cycle.
