EOD Prop and kidney function
I just got (some of) my blood labs back and to my dismay, some of my kidney functions have worsened. My creatnine has jumped to 1.8 (it was 1.5 three months ago) and my GFR is at an all time low of 39. The last time these labs were this bad was when I had a bout with kidney stones, but the functions seemed to spring back after they passed. I'm currently at the two month mark of doing a cycle of Prop EOD and did just over a month of dianabol, only 10mg a day. Although of course I'm pursuing these latest lab results with my nephrologist I guess my question is, was doing the Prop EOD a contributor to this kidney issue? I've always had kidney issues but seemed to remain pretty stable even when on AAS, but I've avoided orals for those reasons. Thankfully my liver functions came back well within range.

Can it contribute? Yes. Androgen's and increased nitrogen retention, which AAS cause, can stress the kidneys. Monitor your blood pressure, maybe prop elevates it dropping your GFR. As my nephrologist said medicine isn't fair. 100mg of this could be nothing for that guy but for you it could cause kidney failure.
These types of questions aren't something you should post on boards. You're going to get nothing but broscience and guys slapping together bullshit from stuff they see and trying to act intelligent. Be up front with your nephrologist.

I think you answered your own question as you ran a month of dbol. Im guessing that was the culprit.

The best way to find out is to see if the kidney labs come back in a month or whenever your nephrologist wants to run them again. If it's still high, i'd come clean to him about the test prop. And I'd also say, I'd drop the prop anyways. You can wait an eliminate the idea that it's the dbol, which it probably is, or be on the safe side and drop both. Let's just say if it is the prop, ask him and a trt doctor about test enth or cyp and see if that affects the kidneys. Doctors need all the information possible, even if you're paranoid about it. It's your body and life, be honest. I'm not saying you haven't told him, but just saying in case. Hope your kidneys get better man. It's no joke when they have issues. If I had issues with kidneys, no way in hell would I be chancing it with orals.

1.8 is no good. Are you keeping track of your BP. I would get off gear for a bit, drink plenty of water and get on an ace inhibitor if your BP is up at all. This is no joke. Your halfway to dialysis

Don’t wanna bum you out right now but I’m afraid even at the low dose it was most likely the dbol, honestly with any type of past kidney issues/disease you have to stay away from the orals they wreak so much havoc on your organs even at a low dose. When it comes to dbol, most ppl will think the itchy n scratchy effects that come on are your pump n the blood just coursing through the body, when in reality it’s been linked to elevated liver enzymes n the beginning of liver issues. When it comes to the water weight you get from the orals that water retention is causing your bp to rise taxing your kidneys which makes them work over time which can result in the raising of your creatinine. Stick to injects they are not 100% safe but they miles better on your body then orals.

Were u running any organ support while on Dbol??

Yeah I did the liv 52 throughout the dball run. I might add that when I'm doing the injects I havent had these kinds of issues with the kidney functions. I do have issues with kidney stones in which the exact same thing happened a year ago; after they passed (and I upped the water intake, the functions got better). I might add I wasnt doing any orals then. This has been my first run of anything EOD, in this case it's been the prop. Of course I'll be stopping it and I know the nephrologist will want to retest. In the past the most I would inject was twice a week also with little problems in the kidney dept. What is thankfully weird about all of this is that the liver functions have been coming back all in range.
But all of this said, I for one am thankful for this board and to be asking questions like this. Naturally the bottom line is seeing the doctor about all these issues, but I think many of us on here like to read others' experiences and can learn at many points. And of course there are the people full of shit, and I've been in this game long enough to differentiate, but like I said, it's nice to talk and commiserate with folks of similar interests, on such a board like BOP.
Thanks all for your input.
