When you hit a wall what do you do?

When you hit a wall what do you do?

Let's hear some feedback from our members in which they could share for other readers..

When you hit a wall head on with your training or your diet, what do you do? What suggestions would you give to someone in the same circumstance...

To simplify things.. let's say the individual has at least two years on the grind with dieting and training..

To me it all depends on what the individual has been doing.
Sometimes you need to take a break, and sometimes you need to just mix stop what you been doing. Main thing is to not get discouraged but to find a way to break through.

Sometimes taking some r&r and just stepping away for a week or so letting your body recoup, at the same time giving your body a good refeed..

What a pertains to my diet depending on my goal I just slowly add or subtract.. but I do it in slight increments, this way I'm not too aggressive if I'm subtracting and it still leaves me room to subtract more in the weeks following.. the same applies when I'm in a calorie surplus, I will increase my carbs just slightly..

The same applies for my training, there's a lot of movements that I have not Incorporated for I've been interested in incorporating and I would add them to my routine, the activation of different muscle heads really made a huge difference.. using the same ordinary mundane routine will yield stagnant Gains..

but in all honesty what helps above and beyond anything else is just stepping away and regrouping mentally.. we can only go balls to the walls for so long..

When you have been training for a number of years you need to listen to your body... if your dieting hard for something and The pounds aren’t coming off you need to re evaluate where you are at. Maybe a few refeed days. If your gaining and you can’t gain anymore results evaluate and maybe you need more calories, or maybe you are pushing it to hard and burning more calories then you think. If the gear seems to stop working or I should say your not feeling like it’s working anymore you gotta that’s right re evaluate. I remember last year I was running a heavy EQ, Npp cycle with minimal test 200mg and a little Tren A at the end 300mg. I started this at the middle of March or so and by the Begining of July i had reached my goal. But I kept it up and by the end of july early early aug I just felt like I got all i was going to get outta of it so I said in stead of upping anything or change of anything I went down to a trt. Plus my body was spent from the training and diet. I knew it was time to lay low. So I did and went on a full blown upward blast again and my body came back stronger. So you gotta feel it out. We punish our body’s day in and day out trying to reach our goals and it seems like our goals get bigger and bigger with every cycle and every passing g year. I sometimes will take 2-3 days off in a row and work and eat and relax. Their is nothing worse then walking into a gym and not wanting to Be there and going thru the motions to say you trained that day. I remeber a long long time ago I had a very well known bb in my area tell me if you walk into the gym and feel like you don’t want to be their you need to turn around and walk back out. Cause by going thru the motions on that day may hinder recovery and gains in another day.. PLEASE somebody else well versed in this life respond to this thread so I can absorb some more knowledge for the day.......

I agree When you hit a wall what do you do? you should always step back and evaluate your situation. Go over every single you eat and every single aspect of your program dieting working out etc. Make your adjustments and then come back and you'll begin forward progress again.
