Then I flip it and push the plunger a little and then flip it up real quick so the oil is at the needle end of the slin pin and there is air after the oil to the plunger. Then I stand them straight up so it stays like that until I'm ready to use. I look really good to make sure nothing is in the oil. The plunger is always nice and clean and the gear is all by itself at the needle end. Not sure if you wanted to know but thats what I got from "This ^"
Oh, I was agreeing with you and that's how I do it as well.

the problem is that over a long period of time the oil build up in the syringe wears away at the rubber and sometimes they become faulty and leak oil. Ive experienced this before which is why i now only keep the oil in the vial unless needed

Hmm that has never happened to me. I have kept preloaded syringes preloaded for up to about 1 year at a time. The rubber in the syringe's plunger did just fine for me, there was no leaking, and I have done this with maybe 200 pins in storage for about a year.
But I will take your word for it. Perhaps your gear had abnormally high amounts of solvents in it (BB and BA) that ate away at the rubber??.
