I used them before when you break open the glass ampules, glass particles fall into the medicine and you draw and inject those into your body. With these filter (make sure they say sterile use) you trap these glass particles and can safely inject your medicine with out worry. I will look these up now again to make sure we are on the same page thinking.

They are great when you get them cheap in bulk. Especially if you get sterile 50ml bottles and mix your supps!

I like them. I wish they have a spring loaded center to close it off. Kinda like a flush quick coupler. They are open to the air when not in use. What I do is leave syringes on them when not in use that are just for that. They have caps u can buy too. I would definitely recommend that.
