Increasing Insulin Sensitivity/BETTER GAINS
How to Naturally Increase Insulin Sensitivity for Better Muscle Gains and FatLoss, especially when using PED/AAS.
by Max
Many different supplements may increase insulin sensitivity, but chromium, berberine, magnesium and resveratrol are backed by the most consistent evidence.
* Probiotics
* Omega 3 fatty acids
* Resveratrol
* Aloe Vera 1tbsp 2x daily
* Berberine 500mg 3x per day w meals
* Vitamin D3
* Gymnema 200mg 2x per day
* Magnesium 250-400mg daily w food
* R-Alpha-Lipoic Acid 150-300 split dose w meals
* Chromium. 200-1000mcg daily Chromium deficiency reduces your body's ability to use carbs — converted into sugar — for energy and raises your insulin needs.
* Cinnamon 500mg 2x daily
* Ginseng 1gram w each solid meal
Better, longer sleep, increased exercise,
Fiber, more unsaturated fats, intermittent fasting, lean proteins and low glycemic fruits and vegetables have all been shown to increase insulin sensitivity, opposite of insulin resistance.
Drugs used in bodybuilding:
Amylin mimetics-pramlintide
Incretin mimetics-*Victoza, Byetta
Insulin- *different types
*Glucophage- metformin
Dipeptidyl-peptidase 4 inhibitors-*Januvia, Onglyza
Sulfonylureas-
*glipizide,tolazamide
*Everyone’s body is different, so you may respond differently to a medication than someone with the some type of diabetes. It is always best to check with your physician before implementing any of the above supplements and/or medications.

lower your BF, lower your dietary fat intake cut out oils and butters, go on a 10-20 min walk or bike ride around meals. simple changes like this are going to be more effective than any supplement/drug.

Hmmm, all that will increase insulin sensitivity more than any supplement or drug? Even metaformin? Decreasing EFAs will do this too?

yes i know its part of the article but its flawed.
more fat in the diet regardless of source is going to result in higher circulating triglycerides which in turn creates an insulin resistant environment. a simple way to reset your body's ability to properly metabolize carbohydrate is to implement a low fat high carb moderate protein diet which would reverse pre-diabetic symptoms, cure type 2 diabetes, and allow type 1 diabetics to use less insulin.
all i was trying to do is clarify because the article is heavily focused on addressing symptoms of high blood sugar rather than giving a sure fire cure that isn't reliant on shiny labeled supplements and drugs, and also its pretty confusing to someone new to the topic when you say more unsat. fats, then say eat lean protein when in reality you just need less dietary fat overall regardless of source to increase your insulin sensitivity.
were all on the same team here and this info is important to health now whether or not your ego will allow you to accept it idk. this is a simple approach which i know is not appealing to most everyone here, the cure to diabetes is in your hands not in a bottle or a syringe.
