How many MG's Is your gear really?
When you get a steroid such as Test Cypionate, Prop, Enanthate etc... Some of the MG's are actually the ester.
For example:
Chemical = Formula = Molecular Weight = Mg of Testosterone
Testosterone (no ester) = C19 H28 O2 = 288.4mg = 100mg
Propionate = C3 H4 O = 56.1mg = 83.72mg
Cypionate = C8 H4 O = 124.2mg = 69.90mg
So you see, the longer the ester on the testosterone is, the longer the steroid is active in your body, and the less actual test you get. This is because, for every 100mgs of testosterone cypionate you inject, only 69.90mgs of it is actually testosterone, the rest is the cypionate ester, which must be removed. On the other hand, with the propionate ester you?ll get 83.72mgs of Testosterone!
The advantage to longer esters is that they need to be injected less frequently (test prop needs to be injected every other day or every day while you can shoot test cyp once a week to twice a week). The disadvantage to long estered steroids is that they contain less actual steroid.
Any input is appreciated.

This is a must read for newbs. So many have no idea than the ester carries weight in the mg/ml.
It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.

When they do the lab tests they dont just test the active hormones they take into consideration all the other factors and thats what the result is, so just like stated above you can run a test on say test prop and it can come back 100mg or slightly higher but the test hormone is still around 87mg. So your stuff came back spot on and if you break down all the ester weights in there you can figure out accurately how much there was of each active hormone.

I do not like to really think about ester weights....it begins to confuse most people and they end up thinking that they must inject more to compensate for the ester weight. They end up over dosing the gears or over using, when infact most people already over use gear. Most people start at 500mg/week and in fact that is more than enough for good gains....they could probably get away with 300mgs. most of these guys are not hardcore bodybuilders and therefore do not need to start digging deeper into the science of things. this is just my opinion.

IMO a first cycle should be 200-300mg/wk of TE/C. If HRT is around 100/wk, then 2-3x normal is all that should be needed to get more gains. 500 is just a nice round number that works when the dosing is 250/ml, and that's why it stuck. Guys could tell their friends that 'you just use 2 a week'- type of crap.
We micro-manage our diets (or at least eventually we learn to), and think of every # of calorie, fat, carb, and almighty protein. When it comes to increasing hormones, we want to stick our heads in the sand. Why??? Is it really that complicated? I don't think so. If you can learn other math applications then why not even more. Does our 'meathead' brains fill up...no. We can remember 5 different routines to train each and every muscle with each of them 5 different ways to lift the weight. But we can't calculate the simple numbers that will help us get to that goal.
Don't get me wrong. Diet is MOST important thing, with training/rest being #2. But we all know that the difficulty attaining goals comes down greatly when the last item is added, hormones. I dunno. Maybe its just my OCD brain.

great post...I agree with everything except the hrt/trt dosage. I heard of people getting up to 400mg/week legally. I guess it all really depends on the doc....but there is no set mgs one will receive for hrt/trt....it is all doc dependant.
