In general I would say compounds of choice don't dictate caloric intake or food choices, goals dictate those things. If you're taking EQ during a cut you would need a calorie deficit and vice versa for mass gaining and a calorie surplus. Or if you had certain health goals you would need to eat food choices specific to the goal such as lowering blood pressure, inflammation reduction, etc. Those each would need a different drug, food, or daily calorie intake manipulation to be corrected. I hope this brings a new outlook to food, compound, and diet practice choices.

Here's a good place to start
Protein 1 to 1.5g per pound
Carb 1.5 to 3g per pound
Fats .3 to .4g per pound
200lb guy = 200-300g Protein/300-600g Carbs/60-80g Fat/2,540-4,320cal
If you're more sedentary throughout the day like a desk job and no cardio, start at the lower end. If you're on your feet and moving all day start at the higher end. Make sure to stick with nutrient dense sources like Beef, Fish, Eggs, Chicken, Turkey, Oats, Rice, Potatoes. Get your micros from veggies. Pretty simple stuff...
I weigh 225 and my current macro split for maintenance is 300p/550c/80f/4120cal. I train 6x a week and get 12k steps a day at a minimum and train 3-5 clients per day so I am at the upper end. When I want to gain I add 10-20g of fat and 50g of carbs, when I want to lose, I'll drop fats to 40g and pull carbs until I reach my goal.

I would agree many people use far more than necessary, but people are going to do as they see fit to reach their goals. Best we can do is try and educate each other over time.

Honestly brother, just eat according to your goals and not the compound you're running. If you're an endomorph trying to lean bulk then eat clean at a slight surplus. If you're a lighter build with a fast metabolism then throw a little junk in there for the extra calories. I have a faster metabolism and when I'm EQ it's just an automatic lean bulk no matter what I eat.
