Injection
Hey guys, just curious what is y'all's go to injection spot for test, and what size needles do you prefer? I'm on TRT right now (300 mg a week since I'm a low responder), and my clinic has me doing one injection a week 1.5cc with a 25G 1" needle in my upper side/Ventroglute area. I find that half of the time I have some pip the following day sometimes two. Any insight is appreciated.

I draw with a 1” 18 gauge then pin with a 23 or 25 (whatever is available when I order) either 1” or 1.5” depending on the muscle. I hit my quads, glutes, and delts.

How much do you pin each time? And I have heard from guys to switch to 27 gauge 1/2 in needles, but then other guys have told me that that's not big enough for intramuscular injections. Also I have heard it depends upon the gear that you're using. I just got some testosterone cypionate from amerigear, and I still had a little pip even though it's MCT oil which is supposed to be thinner than GSO which is why I was using from the pharmacy.

Damn 1.5"?? Every time I've used that deep I've gotten bad pip, but then again I'm only 205 lbs at 6'2".

Size of the muscle group and thickness of the fat layer are key factors. If your going into a large muscle group go moderately deep. In my delt I go 1” but probably could get away with 1/2”. Since I have the muscle I choose to go deeper.

What do you do to help mitigate pip?

I got a lot to say on this one but I’m at work now. I’ll give a full run down on PIP and how it can be misconceived to be ONLY caused by how you inject.
Stay tuned….

The type of gear doesn't matter. Everything can be pinned with a 27g×1/2. Draw with 22g or bigger and backfill a 27 slin pin. I use em for delts, tris, chest, upper outer glutes, quads, bis. If you're not very lean the only one I'd stay away from is glutes. But youd still be fine if you did. I pin 2 full slins ed so I use a lot of spots.
To help with pip heat and message helps, also working the muscle with pip helps. It's all about getting blood in there and thinning out the oil and Crystal's. Sometimes you'll just get pip no matter what. But it should never be debilitating unless you're pinning tren no ester, dhb, aqua test, aqua winny, ect.
But as for regular oil based gear you can basically pin any muscle with a slin. Just dont do calves or forearms lol
Oh there is the possibility of pinning in scar tissue or hitting a nerve. That will cause pip that lasts a little longer but no worries you'll be fine.
Trust me, youd know if it was an issue.
Hot, red, swelling, bad itching those are things to cause a little concern. But even then usually itll just go away and if not a little antibiotics will take care of it pretty quickly
