New personal best for deadlift of 365 pounds and bench press 235 pounds. I know it isn't much for some of you guys but breaking 225 pounds on the bench press was more of a mental block than a physical one. Always had been since I was in college.

I'm edging up on 44 and weigh 245, or so. Down from 275 earlier this year.

Plus, I can now do two complete pull-ups. Before, gravity was holding me down.

Good job, brother. Very respectable weights. The most important thing is that you continue to set goals for yourself and achieve them.

Excellent Lifts! Keep a Log to chart your progress, and set small goals, like hitting 250 on bench next. Hitting little goals motivates you more than like one Big Goal too shoot for.Its like that old saying "you have to walk before you run"! keep it up Bro!

I write down everything I do at the gym. By the end of the year my goals are to dead lift 400, bench 250, squat 300 (right now it's around 255, far from my personal record of a while ago) and be able to do 5 or more good solid pull-ups.

Good job. I have respect for anyone that gets in the gym and gives it 101% no matter if its a 200lb bench or 500. Makes no diference.

Way to go Zaphod !! Thanks for sharing this .? I'm willing to bet to a man on this board and or this entire iron culture u will find we are our own biggest competition and critics. It would be my guess that at least 85% of grown men can't bench press 225 lbs .

Nobody is here to bash anybody else. If it's a milestone for you then congratulations are in order. Everybody started somewhere and no two people are genetically the same. Keep up the good work brother.
