I don't write my progress down on paper so I'll use this forum. And hopefully I get some criticism because of it.

I go heavy with my Chest once a week, and inbetween I work my chest with 20 rep sets on days that follow but at least not 2 days before.

I did a few sets just to mess around. Incline Press 190x20, 195x22, 200x14 :( Started running out of gas.. I don't use any preworkout stuff for high rep days.. just sometimes on my heavy days.

This isn't a real training log, just something for me to bull shit in.. my avi was taken in Late March.. that thats about 3 months old now.. I'd like to think i'm a little bigger.. and i'm heavier.

and fuck you

Yeah tattz has it right...everyone is different...I followed a powerlifting reg for years...Monday squat, Wednesday bench, Thursday dynamic speed day/speed bench/squat, Friday deads, Saturday bodybuild...Sunday option/cardio Olympic lifts...
NOW...I went into fitness priorities, lean out lose some weight...at 6-1 310 was a little too heavy...550bench,700squat, 660 dead...185kg cleanx2... Started to wear on me...so started clean eating on 4/1 today I weighed in at 269.
Now I do insane amount of burpees, kettle bell swings, still bench still squat...and still do Oly lifts...am I gonna clean 408+ again...no...am I gonna bench 500+ again...no...don't want to...priorities shift and change over time...now being 43 years old...ill leave the heavy lifting to you younger guys... Keep training...keep the goal Lin sight...no matter how small or how big...each day move forward...:) lastly, if your gonna train, set up a program your gonna get the most out of...Louie Simmons once said at a seminar we hosted at a local gym..." If placed a 1000 parking cones in the parking lot and one of them had a million dollars hidden under it, you would absolutely turn over every cone to get that money, right?" Then he said then do that with your training;)

So what are your goals now then?

The Blob
06-30-2013, 08:16 PM
My goals? usually just make better lifts with either more reps or slightly higher weight than before. I take alot of baby steps. meeting many goals each week. keeps me looking upward.

a Recent Picture of myself probably isn't so lean or tight but i could produce one for y'all.

It might be only myself, but i would say,20 reps sets is waaay too many.and with your example of chest routine,That would gas me out too!

My buddy said it's a good way to train. And I also do my Heavy chest presses once a week. So I'm hitting both muscle fibers.. My chest needs a fuck load of developing as it is.. i don't mind the extra work!

We all try to find different ways to develpe more muscle,be it by doing Lots of reps or lifting Heavy ass weight. I like to "Shock" my muscles from time to time too increase the muscle fiber growth.,I always lift to failure, too push that Last set to the Max! and I stick to basic sets/reps,4 sets of 12,10 9,8, with increasing the weight eveytime.so whatever way you work your routine.,work it your HARDEST,That will make you Grow!

You're right. No matter what you do, if you don't challenge yourself... You won't change yourself

Hell yeah.. Post it up in big boss thread "challenge to all bro"

I guess this is just a log then of your current chest training then? If so. When I am trying to pack on some mass I like to pre-exhaust my chest before I do my heavy lifts. like 5 sets of flies, dips etc. before I go to bb w.o. I also believe if you want to get big you have to lift big, meaning heavy weight low rep. For me sometimes less is better meaning keep the reps under 5. like a 5x5 heavy of flat, incline, decline and get the hell out of there...

I can search for that thread. And I do have a more recent picture that I forgotten about.

Also, I do heavy Bench Presses once a week. And through the week i'll do other chest stuff to just mess around and get some reps in.

Of course, I like doing Dead lifts and Leg Presses and other stuff.. Right now i'm just focusing in on my weak spots/under developed muscles.

You still have a great base brother. I personally would drop all the extra rep during the week try the pre-exhaust on my chest and then the heavy reps. The numbers you posted to me are more to shape and tone not for bulk. I like to believe in the bulk then shape. Just lift hard and give it all for an hour always feed after the w.o.. Another thing to is if your lifting big you have to eat big. I also noticed when I moved my first finger outside the rings on the bar I was using way more pecs and a lot less tris...

I'm kinda eating tons of protein, low carbs. I'm lifting heavier weights cause I just feel like it.. I don't like bulking because i'm already fat enough.

So I use Digital's Gear. Tren does good work. and i'm using some M-Sten right now for an extra boost.

I keep going out and doing my drinking so its killing my figure.. I need to cut that out for good.. but all my friends sucks ass the peer pressure blows... plus i work at a F'ing bar...

OH GOD!!! Yeah that's the majority of your problem there. I always think if I drink I just fucked up 3 days for my body to recover, where its not fighting off the damage I just did from drinking.. Plus all the unwanted calories and bloat especially from beer... Even Tren is not magic friend. You still have to live the lifestyle if you want results that stick around!!

Did some Deadlifts today. I'm only messing with 365lbs (which isn't light for my tall ass 6'3) but i did a few sets.. x7, x6, x3.. which is 3 more reps total than i did last week. Just started playing with it..

After my workout, i messed around again and did Incline BB press 200x20. Which was very easy.. As i said before, once i hit 20 reps, i move up in weight. so it'll be heavier next time :)

5 hours of sleep was good enough for me to nail 315 for 7 (higest i've gone before was 5 reps) then broke my personal record with 355 x 1, then felt froggy and did 360 x 1

So I'm pretty happy with myself.

And thank Digital for his quality Tren/Mast/Prop!

Internet has been turned off for a couple weeks so i couldn't post or anything... refused to use my slow ass phone..

got 315 up 8 times and hit a 365 BP. that was a good accomplishment for myself.

however, i'm cutting really hard now.. goal to to reach 220lbs. My avi was taken when i was 223.2lbs

The Blob
