28-year-old Patrick Robert McNeely of Island Ford Road in Statesville was arrested Wednesday (July 30) by Iredell Co. Sheriff’s Deputies on charges of felony possession with intent to sell & deliver schedule III narcotics; felony maintaining a dwelling or place for a controlled substance; possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged with misdemeanor assault on a female.
He was arrested as Deputies responded to reports of a domestic disturbance at McNeely’s residence. Deputies spoke with McNeely, who told them that he and his girlfriend had gotten into an argument. In the course of the investigation, Deputies learned that McNeely had been using illegal substances. A subsequent search of the residence turned up two glass pipes, a glass jar with marijuana residue, rolling papers, syringes, 457 anabolic steroid pills and two plastic bags containing marijuana.
After his arrest, McNeely was placed in the Iredell Co. Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond. A District Court date was set for August 28.
