I had the opportunity to go to UFC 166 here in Houston. I was in a SHITTY mood after A&M lost to Auburn earlier in the afternoon, so was in a funk for like half of the under card. But then...like the clouds being parted from on high...the Melendez-Sanchez fight was like nothing I'd ever seen...let alone in person!These two hombres just bit down on their mouthpieces at the end of it and just went INSANE. No guard, nothing but hay-makers, just blasting weapons of mass destruction into each others' grill. Diego Sanchez had a FUCKED up gash over his eye that looked like the size of a mouth, and blood was just pouring like something out of the movie Carrie.I totally lost my voice by the end of that fight, and even hurt my own eardrums LOL. I had a company physical the next Monday and the doc. was telling me I'd lost some hearing across all frequencnies in both ears, and to lay off the loud music (which I don't do). Long strong short, that was the most fucking awesome fight I have EVER seen. These two rightfully should get Fight of the Year for that spectacle.
