LEGS

Leg extensions - 1 feeler, 2 work, have machine maxed

Leg press - 1 feeler, 2 work

Front squats - 1 feeler, 2 work

Seated leg curls - 1 feeler, 2 work

Calves - 3 sets each on leg press and seated calf raise.

Really focused on neg and rep control. Also tried to keep rest between 30-45 sec but lost some time due to changing weight.

PWO meal - 8oz grilled chicken, banana w/ peanut butter. Forgot to get my bag of broccoli this morning :(

Nice session..... It's amazing how fired up you can get those legs when you focus on the negatives. I like those pause reps too

Oh brother!!! I hit some pause reps today on front squats. Thought I was gonna lose my chicken salad sammie!!

I've made a discovery since rebooting my diet, I need to dial back on my carbs. I started throwing them in and I'm already seeing a negative effect on my waistline. My biggest issue, imho, was insufficient protein intake.

I have my carbs cut back to just my first 3 meals. Less then 200 Ed but get plenty of protein. 7-8 meals Ed

I'm going to do something very similar. I can tolerate carbs from sources such as sweet potatoes or brown rice, but any wheat based carb, even whole grain, does me dirty.

Try Ezekiel bread. It's not really bread but sprouted grains

I do get deep issue massages and they are great. They do make you feel sick for a day or 2 after but its worth it to get all those toxins out.

ya man ill definetly post up ... im waiting for my text book from.nasm to arrive so.I can start.my personal trainer courses . really excited about it man I am right now at 5"10 245 lbs running a pretty good stack and a little slin for the first time to clarify its my first time to use slin not aas .

Looks like I'm finally gonna retire my 160 gig iPod classic. I picked up the iPod nano today and its so much smaller still holds a ton of music and the battery life is sick. It has a nice radio as well. Pretty sweet device my only regret is not doing it sooner

Likewise brother! Man I love those skull crushers, but I can't do them anymore. They hurt my elbows too much. They target my tri's like no other! I have subbed close grip bench press for them.

Tri behind the neck press with a db. I used to do those a lot before my back injury. I don't do them anymore cause I avoid compressing the spine but man they worked great before

Yes, I use these but in a limited fashion. They aggregate my elbows too, but nothing like skull crushers. Once I get warmed up and there's some blood flowing in the area, it helps tremendously.

Do you use an inversion table at all for your back?

Nope I just did the pt. it's probably self fused by now. Back in 2010 I injured my l5s1 and they said there was only 2mm of space left between the 2. It took a long time to get back to normal but really I get around almost pain free now. Don't get me wrong though I was in pretty bad shape for many years but I just tuffed it out. Skull crushers used to really bother my elbows too but not anymore

Thankfully, I've managed to work around them and learn what and what not to do, but, they still really limit my bench capacity. I'm thinking that it's about time to break out the ice pack for these elbows.

You know I don't do much reg bench anymore. It's just more for ego then anything else. DB's and hammer strength are my go to lifts for chest and finish it with flys or cables

I should've clarified, my bench is on a smith machine. It really allows me to focus more on technique and neg. I could care less about traditional flat benching. I've always struggled with traditional flat bench, but since I started using the smith machine for benching, I've made some significant strides in my chest workout.

Dexter jackson swears by smith machine benching along with gamer strength. I like it to as you can go super heavy and if you fail just rack it. No need to worry about getting stuck or getting hurt. Over the years I have had many training partners but really I prefer to train alone now

Man I'm right there with you. I like being left completely alone in the gym. Had a guy engaging me today, fortunately he caught me prior to getting started. :)

I try not to make eye contact. Most the people at my gym know once i get going to leave me alone :)

MP/Smith machine, 3 wrk,

Arnold presses, 1 feeler, 2 wrk

One arm DB raises, 1 feeler, 2 wrk

Super set, seated bent over flies w/ rev pec deck, 1 feeler, 1 wrk

BB shrugs, 3 wrk

DB shrugs, started w/ 100's dropped incrementally by 5 to 80's

Done, 35 min. Completely spent. Some sets had more than a min between due to changing weight, so on when possible, I took 30 sec between sets.

I agree. I'm cooking for two, and the other side of this equation doesn't share in my food choices. Plus, she's a bit sick tonight so I thought I'd make something to maybe help her feel a little better.

A lot depends on your goals brother. If your dieting down for a show then you have to be super strict. If your bulking or just dieting well then that's different but i like to be extreme you know :)

Well to your point, everything we do/eat is goal driven. I think that's a very personal thing. One can diet as if they're prepping for a show regardless of whether or not they are actually going to be in a show. Maybe that is the person's goal, irrespective of whether or not they will actually be in a show. I take you to be a very diligent, dedicated person; therefore, your approach to everything you do will reflect that. I think it's awesome!

Tried to do lunges but nothing left legs are fried

20 minutes low intensity cardio helped stretch the legs out a little but still super tight.
