t3 half life

this has been one of the most elusive bits of information to find a definitive answer for. im using cytomel. some say it has a half life of 3 hours. others say 8-9 hours, some say 3 days and some even say 2 weeks. what do you guys think/know about this?

Hmm 3 hours no way I would say a day if anything but idk I always take it once aday and I'm good

t3 half life is actually really short, 6-9 hours i think it was but the effects on metabolism hang around for longer. i remember reading info from a well respected expert on thyroid medication that due to t3's effect on the receptor expression, the metabolic effects hang around longer than the half life suggests.

i split mine twice a day.

also should mention that may want to avoid calcium or calcium containing products when taking t3. calcium tends to bid to t3 and hinders absorption. best to take it on an empty stomach or 1 hour before eating.
