COKER, Alabama — Tuscaloosa police say a man has been arrested on drug charges following a three-year investigation.

Authorities said in a release Tuesday that 47-year-old Ronald Eugene Wedgeworth has been charged with manufacturing and possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia.

Police say agents with the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force found large amounts of liquid steroids packaged to sell, powder steroids, powdered Viagra, marijuana, two handguns, drug paraphernalia and lab equipment in the man's home in Coker.

Police say Wedgeworth is a major supplier of steroids in the Tuscaloosa area, and more than $200,000 worth of drugs and other items were taken from his home.

Police say he's being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $325,000 bond. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
