Not sure if I'm posting this in right sub forum( so if Im in wrong place sorry) but I have a question. Just had to make an int'l order and noticed with my tracking that my pak sat for 6 days where it landed (ny) then moved to another sorting (NH) and then I'm sure will head my way. I hate the post office. Haven't gotten the 'dammit' letter and it's still moving but just curios if maybe I should go ahead and change my name grow a beard and move into the mountains or if I'm all good? Sorry for the paranoid question but you know how it is:) thanks for any thoughts folks!

No rhyme or reason sometimes with customs . 5 to 10 days isn't unusual .
They have face recognition software now to find you on any store security camera .
You would have to move to a cabin off the grid .

Below is some advice regarding your situation. Read up and be safe....It came from this thread: http://brotherhoodofpain.com/showthread.php?8261-Basic-Guide-to-staying-safe-while-buying-gear (http://brotherhoodofpain.com/showthread.php?8261-Basic-Guide-to-staying-safe-while-buying-gear)

Avoid receiving international packages because US Customs can and will open any suspicious pack entering the US without needing a warrant........So, you should always request domestic shipping. Also, never ever sign for any drug package. Importing controlled substances is a federal crime and the U.S. Customs Mail Division, which oversees international packages, is authorized to open and inspect suspicious parcels. Packages can arouse suspicion based upon factors such as look, feel, origin or destination. If the inspectors discover a package containing steroids, they can hold or "seize" the package and may then exercise one of two significant options: either send a "seizure letter" or attempt a "controlled delivery."

I wouldn't worry yet. Sometimes shit sits in customs for a while. It has happened to me before and I start freaking out for no reason. If it has moved out of NY you are good to go, it probably already went through customs.

I do agree with Herc and the others above.

My post mainly contains info that is just good to know for future purchases.

Sometimes something goes wrong with the tracking on packs as well. I've had that happen, a pack has been sitting some where for days according to the tracking# and then it just appears at my door while its supposed to be in another state.
