i have been pretty lucky in all the years of training not to have a serious injury. A few weeks ago while squating I un racked the weight and while doing so felt a pop in my left calf. There was little pain and I finished squatting but it slowly got more intense as the day went on. Stairs, squatting, lunges and other movements where I use that leg to stabilize myself are difficult

As soon as you felt that you should have quit.

I would rest it and wouldn't train until it is 100% or you risk making it worse. Then you are out for months or a year.

If it isn't better in a couple weeks or the pain increases definitely see a doctor and don't risk it.
