I really loved competing in powerlifting. I did it in my early 20's. I think it's more for self satisfaction and confidence than anything else. People always ask muscular guys "what can you bench press?" I used to compete in bench press and always had a decent number to tell them...and I could prove it. Man I hated putting on that bench shirt though LOL.
