Canadian man accused of possessing steroids

WELLESLEY ISLAND — A Gatineau man was charged by state police after he allegedly possessed a steroid on the island.
Police said they found steroid oxandrolone on Richard Harper, 35, when they conducted a routine inspection of his vehicle at the island’s port of entry.
Charged with seventh-degree possession of a criminal substance at 7:02 p.m. Monday, he was arraigned in Orleans Town Court.
Police said Mr. Harper pleaded guilty to the offense and paid a $305 fine.
