When I first started out training with weights I would get them something fierce with straight bar. I thought I was messed up for life. Ten gazillion reps later and some mass size put on, I never encounter them anymore. I feel for you, bro. Painful.

I have always gotten them and I have been liftin for the better part of 13 years... guess I am doomed to always get them... I have tried wrapping them with no luck... here lately I use cables for biceps I use a straight bar and get better pumps and gains than a straight bar so may just leave the Damn barbell alone for good lol....

I always get them on what I consider heavy "120+" on preacher curls.

Always, always, always hurt (my wrists) on "heavy" cable machine curls.

Sucks.

At least I am not the only one. A straight bar is something I just don't use now. EZ bar helps but dumbbells have been the best for me
