add another lean meal in first. You can use red meat for your protein and it will up your calories easy.

If you're already taking in more than enough protein then try adding in a SMALL amount of additional COMPLEX carbs like a sweet potato or a bowl of brown rice. Try downloading a glycemic index chart of foods if you need a better selection. try adding in an additional 200-300 calories a day for a week and see if you start gaining. If not bump it up to 500 additional calories/day and see how you're doing after 2 weeks. Don't go over 500 additional calories/day - Keep in mind it could also be how you're Macro's are split as well.

For someone trying to stay lean I would suggest this might not be the best thing to do!!

lots of good advice here already for you...I agree with everyone, definitely want to add in more good calories, imo you never want to add junk calories to bulk...adding junk calories creats a dirty bulk, fat and watery....much better off growing a bit slower but leaner on clean cals

I second the red meat too, I can grow and stay lean on alote of red meat, feel great eating it too

What does your current diet and meal plan look like? How many calories per day and in each meal? Stats?

Definitly good solid advice,I'd agree with the red meat, but as Pain mentioned, first, what are your stats, how much have you gained over what period of time,diet,training,etc..

Th-thanks

Try starting the day with a protein shake like this: 500ml+ full cream milk, mixed berries (strawberry, raspberry and blueberry), 1/2 cup of raw oats, honey, flax and/or olive oil, and a banana along with your bulking protein powder. At least 800 calories there, and depending on the calories in your protein, it could easily be 1000+. This is a really enjoyable shake, and it's great for energy. The first time I had this about an hour before I exercised, I had one of the best workouts ever. Made me feel alert, focused, and positive. Give it a try mate.

I can imagine that would make me alert and focused as well! Will give this a shot in the morning. Thanks!
