I usually run Wyeth Labs Test cyp 200/mg week for hrt. Every three months or so i use 1/2mg Arimidex 2x per week for three weeks to brins estradiol back down. Typically I can feel my estrogen levels when they reach 40. I recently switched to EGH labs Test Cyp at 250mg week and added in 20mg Anavar 2x day (total 40mg day). Var is reported to increase free testosterone levels, and I noticed symptoms of estrogen much sooner than expected. Not sure if the moodiness and negative attitude came from the Var or a spike in e2.

My questions are these; Does Anavar have an impact on estrogen conversion? What should the Arimidex dosing and cadens be based on this combination of Test and Anavar? Does Var have an impact on mood for any of you?

I've never had an estrogen issue any time running Var (I usually run it much higher that you are). I would assume your issue is arising from the test. EGH test may be more potent than the test you were running and you are getting more aromatization to estrogen. I would suggest bumping up the arimidex or take it more frequently.

Anavar does not aromatize and it should have no negative effects on your mood. The symptoms you are experiencing are from high E2 because of the testosterone itself converting. I can't speak for the quality of Wyeth Labs but I can assure you EGH is what it says it is and if I had to guess the stuff you've been using up to now has been under dosed. Try running your Arimidex at .25mg EOD and see how you feel. After about a few days to a week adjust it as needed. If you're sensitive to E2 (which you are) then you need to use an AI on a regular basis not just a couple weeks every few months.

Wyeth Testosterone cyp is kind of the gold standard for me, I get it from Walgreens by RX. And yes, everything I've gotten from EGH has been solid. I knew Var didn't aromaize, but read that it had a bonus effect of raising free testosterone, especially for those who supplement it. It just seemed like the E2 snuck up and came on strong this time around. I'll order up some lower dose arimidex and take it more frequently. I've always been afraid of taking too much of it. I've read that dropping E2 too much can be a big problem. My old HRT doc gave me the dosing in my OP, so I've stayed with that and gone on feel.

Are there any guidelines or signals that you dropped e2 too low?

Thanks for the feedback and advice on this.

I apologize, I read your original post really quickly and didn't give you a completely correct answer. Your Wyeth test is fine and pharmaceutical test from the pharmacy is the best your ever going to get. it's very possible that the difference between the 200mg and 250mg a week is enough to be doing it and it's also possible that Erik's is slightly over doses. An increase in E2 is not due to an increase in free testosterone it's due to an increased conversion of Testosterone to estrogen. That can happen from a lot of different reasons like you're getting older or you've put on some body fat recently. I also don't believe that Anavar is one of the compounds that increases free testosterone. I know Winstrol, Masteron, Proviron and Aromasin do though (that's why I think people should use Aromasin instead of Arimidex).

Signs of low E2 are pretty similiar to high E2. You can get irritable, lethargic, loose your sex drive, stop getting morning erections, dry skin, piss a lot. If you're having sex you can get hard erections but your dick can seem thinner and it's almost impossible to orgasm.

I hope that helps

Merry Christmas!!!!

Anavar, like all steroids, can lower SHBG, increasing free testosterone. With more testosterone available to convert to estrogen, your E2 can go up. It probably wouldn't go up enough to cause problems unless you were already borderline though.
