Just a quick question. If I was going to get into home brewing just for personal use, what would I be looking at for start up cost and how much space would I need?

Email/pm a source. They might be nice enough to fill you in without getting into details.

I think I read a thread on a start up in one of the raw sources

Yep just found it. Go to the "pure Raws" source & see the sticky "brewing101 with bigrob"

He breaks it down to the T. Hope that helps

It's the tool that crimps the cap onto the bottle. Just google vial crimper.

If you don't want to put the money down for a crimper you could just get sterile vials

I have spent quite a bit, but I like to have nice and enough stuff to do what I want. A hot plate and magnetic stirrer is highly desired if you ask me, and helpful.

I started out basic for about $500 but the process was slow so getting glassware for filtration and a good pump and a source for filters. I store all mine in a large trunk and i have a use a small section of my counter to make it as i need it. Total i have spent rought $1500 on upgrading to lab quality glassware and the pump you can buy cheaper ones for under 125 but it pays to get a better one because it speeds the process up 10 fold. Bottles tops and rubber stoppers you can get those in bundle packages at places like medlabsupply.com or ebay has it all to. But be smart about ebay dont order everything to ur home have a friend buy it for you and give him a few bucks. Less heat you can put on urself the better. If your doing it for yourself about %400-500 should get you under way buying needles in bulk and whatever else you can in bulk. The main oils will cost the sell everytging you will need at medlabsuppy.com crimper us gonna run 150 but in a bundle with bottles its about 275. If you want a list of stuff basskiller.com has a list with cost per that will help you a lot and that site has tins of info. You might want to do ur home work if your just starting and ask questions on stupid questions are the ones not asked. I will warn you everyine has put it there time and worked through there issues so when you ask for questions they may tell you where to look but your gonna have to do the work. Or some may give you the answer but tell you in a rude way so just take what you need and progress. Be safe and before buying anything make sure you cover your butt L.E. is always around the corner. Be safe brother...
